Hey thats not fair to Cyclops. While I liked Wolvie better as a kid Eye Beams was clearly one of the best X-Men powers. Its really a shame they fucked up by killing him off in X3 (or casted that dude as him in the first place tbh).
Gene Splice is a great assist.

In my heart of hearts I wish Marvel had their IP back in their own (Disney’s) pocket again but this last wave of X-Men films ain’t half bad at all. This is definitely the film I’m most looking forward to this year.
However, Singer isn’t looking to do that, per se:

Other than that, I liked that clip a lot more than I was expecting to. Very low expectations for this movie, given how most superhero movies have turned out over the past few years (Avengers being an exception, and I didn’t even like that one as much as everyone else did). But so far so good.
That Quicksilver commercial, though. Hair so fucking fake, so many weird choices…
Bishop looks so stupid. They could have made him look close to the comics without being so goofy. All those dreads? So the mutants are all dying in the future but he had the time to make his hair that luxurious? And did he go farther in time than he wanted to and stole Little Red Riding Hood’s poncho before going back to the time he wanted originally?
I like the idea with how that gun works in coordination with Bishop’s powers.
I will say this about Quicksilver…The way his speed is portrayed reminds me of Callisto from Xmen The Last Stand. Doesn’t feel like it’ll “wow” me.
I actually feel the exact opposite (Bishop). For me it was always “Yo this dude takes what you give him and sends it right back at you son! On top of that he’s got mad f#ckin guns! He’s got an attitude too…so it’s like he’s a Black Cable from the Hood!” In that clip it was like he’s become more like Tech-9 from Blood Syndicate. I’ll give him a chance, but I don’t like the change up. don’t ‘Darwin’ the next black guy.
