X-MEN : Days of Future Past Thread

Makes Bishop look much better. And damn blink is looking ‘fun’. Nightcrawler was just awesome to see fight, but Blink just seems so much more effective.

Being silly …

First ,with all the recent molestation charges against Singer, is** “X-treme Cream” **the most approrpriate slogan they could have used?

I like how the character who’s worn red in his costume for almost 40 yrs and hails from a formerly communist country is on the blue box.
I would have put Iceman on the blue box

Re: the red box, Bishop has the cape, but why are Halle and Picard on there?
Halle has a pussy, so maybe I can get that.
However, Blink is pink AND has a vagina. smh Hostess… :bluu:

I guess I should be happy Jackman isn’t hogging the box lol…

need some of dat X-treme cream

Comics wise the tradeoff has always been Blink is really good at Teleporting Large groups but her ports are a bit less stable, Nightcrawler can really only do himself plus one person safely but he’s able to move about much faster and at larger distances.

In the comics, isn’t Kurt limited to line of sight/knowing the area? Does Blink have those limitations?

Kurt isn’t limited by that, it’s just a lot safer for him to know as he risks teleporting into a solid object otherwise.

Funny, but accurate

no in the early days that was a limit to his powers. i remember an episode of xmen saying as such.

This just revealed your fraud points…going by cartoons instead of comics…how the mighty have fallen!

I still remember how bad the Phoenix saga was botched in X3. Still, that Juggernaut line was the shit fuck you Honest Trailer.

that Honest Trailer was the best thing seen today tbh, Timmy!

This…this gives me hope…Spoiler free review. No scenes of the movie in here either.

“I even liked X3”

Just got back from early screening (been going ham on the movies this past month for some reason)

3 hours till I have to get up for work but fuck it

General impressions (just my opinions on how good it was, no spoilers but I’ll spoiler anyway):

Spoiler

First and foremost, the movie is good, especially considering X-Men’s previously low standards. I did find it tricky to gauge right away but I consider it a lil better than First Class. I didn’t like any X-Men movie prior to this, didn’t really like Wolvie 2 either

Direct stuff (yeah, don’t read till you’ve seen it, aren’t planning on watching, or you’re a sick bastard that gets off on ruining shit for himself):

[details=Spoiler]MAGNETOOOOO!!! Watching him go to work is beautiful when he fights without limits. Handed Boneclaws Wolvie’s ass back to him and sent him flying. Found it funny how they tied him in with the historical event of JFK’s assassination. Disappointed they never cleared this up though, JFK a mutant. Actually, thinking about it now, Xavier would’ve found out the truth once he entered his mind later in the movie, yet no clarification. =/

Quicksilver was the most impressive of the new cast, he got shit done, came up with the witty comic relief and provided the best scene in the entire movie

I know Colossus isn’t the most godlike of mutants but man, he was made of SUCK! I can’t remember him saying anything and literally every scene he was in, he got bodied. I know the Future Sentinels were OP but still. Blink held her own, Iceman and Sunspot at least held them off. Same with Storm, fuck, even Bishop landed a few direct hits lol. Most pointless character in the movie, though watching him get team fatalitied was funny

How they used Blink’s power during fight scenes was cool also. Fights overall were choreographed a lot better than past X-Men movies. There wasn’t much opportunity for the X-Men of the future to display anything impressive though, they mostly got bodied. Hope to see more

I do like how the movie both pretends X3 never happened whilst also referencing it. That shit shouldn’t be allowed but given the joke that was X3, I can understand people letting it slide

Cyclops return scene had me rolling still: “yo, hands off my woman”

Finally, was in a full ass cinema, waiting for the post-credits scene. Body heat and funk levels were hitting maximum, the chick next to me had the cheesiest feet, but a pretty cool Apocalypse reference that me and maybe 5 other people in the cinema understood. Pain for everyone else. 5 minute wait to watch some kid piece together an entire Pyramid with Telekinesis. My friend’s reaction “We waited for this shit” -_-

Anyways, bring on X-Men: Apocalypse. Genuine excitement for a future X-Men installment, never thought I’d see the day[/details]

who said that?

The guy on the right in hte ‘review’ in the below quote. I tolerated X3 more than the average Joe and was one of those people trying to give it ‘some’ credit, but even I had to admit it just wasn’t good.

That shit is like some blogger trying to review the new Roots album talking about “I love most of their discography, some of the albums are almost as good as Hurricane Chris’s last CD”
