Actually even Snyder isn’t this bad. Snyder does have SOME appreciation towards source material, he just overloads his stuff with his own philosophies that ends up drowning it out, but source material love IS there.

Much like the MCU films, people care less about following continuity word for word, and more about if the characters act like their comic book selves. Chris Evans’ Captain America acts like Cap from the books, RDJ redefined Stark so much, they based the EMH Iron Man after him, right down to the VA copying his vocal inflections. When those movies add a character from the books, they tend to use them well and in interesting ways, rather than one-off cameos, or as silent mooks of the big bad.
Singer wastes tons of characters just so he can pull the okie-doke of saying such-and-such mutant is in the new movie… How do you fuck up the Dark Phoenix arc so fucking badly? How you gonna fuck up Juggernaut? Why did we have to wait for Ryan Reynolds to save Deadpool and give us an accurate Colossus?
Singer, Bay, Snyder, Rattner, and Goyer are feces-tier… Fuck them and everything they touch, except for Bad Boys and Lethal Weapon*(which I’m starting to believe were great in spite of their presence rather than because of)*.
