The X-Men costumes on camera would look ridiculous. I’m glad they were ditched for the movies.

First, they managed to get Captain America’s costume look good. The guy is a walking American flag and it looks good in the movie.
Second, I don’t think anybody is asking for the 90’s cartoon costumes, reproduced to perfection.
Third, they can take liberties. A bit of yellow here and there wouldn’t hurt. Leave them all in black leather, but put some fucking yellow accents at least, like the previous picture shows. Gimme something!
Wasn’t the Xmen movie before Morrison took over with New X-Men?
It’s true that say the 1990s cartoon X-Men costumes would probably look bad in a live action film, but I’m pretty sure some middle ground could’ve been reached.
the movie came before the revamp. the black costumes was to keep in line with the new readers coming from the movies.
They made Spiderman and the Avengers look cool and mostly the same as the comics. I think the X-Men could be done too. The blacker leather costumes never really bothered me though.
What sucks about the Xmen costumes since Xmen 1 is that they are not iconic for shit.

Yes, for real. I lost hope with X3, and when First Class came out to me it looked like tweens X-men, so never payed attention to it. I am open to watching it and be proven wrong.
I mean, I like all those fanservice and sexualized female poses from comics and shit, but what Emma is wearing in that movie is …no. Emma likes wearing tops but that looks like a regular bra. And that skirt looks like bathroom towel wrapped around her hips 
My issue with Emma frost in first Class stems more from the acting and a little of the writing
In the comics, Emma is generally portrayed as relatively independent and with a sharp tongue.
January Jones played it too “flat” for my taste (I dont know whether it was her choice or Vaughns).
I know Vaughn loves Bond films, but Emma is more of an equal than a henchwoman.

I still can’t get why Fox can’t just use the proper x-men roster. Just Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Jean and then they can try to sort out between Nightcrawler, Rogue, Gambit, Beast, Iceman, Colossus, Kitty, Angel… for the roster. It’s not like they did anything with the other characters like Havoc, banshee, Pixie, etc that were a big deal. Why did they need to put havoc instead of cyclops? I’m not saying they should stay true to the comics, because i get we have to update these things… but do we really need to go that far by just making a different team that isn’t the x-men? What benefits does this have for marketing? All the other games from past to present do not have Mystique as part of the roster, you don’t play her in any of the capcom games, the old-school genesis, or any X-men title, she was always the bad guy. In a generation in where the movies bring in the fanbase, how can the X-men fanbase grow if Fox does not portray the x-men in their movies?
