X-Centric: The X-Book Thread

Something I didn’t like about X-force was the transition to battle. The book did a lot of unnecssary jumping around and I’m not sure how
]Rahne got captured?[/spoiler

[details=Spoiler]

As far as X-factor…[spoiler=who’s pregnant]Syrin[/details]

also

[spoiler=]Bastion is back? [/details]

If he really is back than there isn’t anything xforce can do about him. An all out assault on him would just get them all killed. The version of him that laura faced nearly killed her. They cant win. unless they find some way to just turn him off. but brute force won’t do it. and aside from wolvies lucky break with predator X none on that team can take an enemy like that down.

it is funny how Bishop went from district X to selling out the X-men in the Civil War to being a baby killing-Sentinal cooberating traitor in Messiah Complex. Marvel need to make up their fuking mind.

Is Unlimited X-Men worth the read?

They havent really known what to do with bishop for a long time. Remember when they made him all broken and he could stop bullets by absorbing momentum.:rolleyes:

then even during the onslaught saga which should’ve had bishop all over it he barely had anything to do with anything.

Bishop hasnt really been on target since sabertooth was captive in the mansion. after that it was all downhill

I liked the District X Bishop more than anyone of the others. They are just throwing him all over the place. I dont like it one bit at all.

To be honest I never really understood bishop as a plot device. he exists outside of the time stream as i understand it so anything that happenes to change the past or the present his memory stays in tact right? that was the whole deal with why he didn’t get affected by the aoa universe right?

Like his purpose was to stop the traitor to the Xmen which he did whe he absorbed that blast from onslaught. I thought that bishops existence and intensity was to light a fire under the xmens ass because his future is only <80 years away. Where as cable had a similar intensity but his future was thousands of years away. so they just had to deal with the beings like apocolypse who would actually be alive for that.

so like you say i dont’ understand even the general direction for bishop as of late. It looked like they were getting on track with it back in xtreme xmen when the XSE were being formed under storm. But this twist throws the whole monkey into the mix.

ok so after xavier get his head blown off buy bishop there this new story line of

X-MEN: DIVIDED WE STAND!
it sets in books

uncanny x men #495 - i just picked up.

x-force #1- i just picked up. a very awesome read and very bloody and with a surprise ending from a villain who is going to make a come back in the the x books

x-factor #28

cable #1

x-men legacy #208

young x-men #1

When Brubaker started writing.

Wolverine #62 (get mystique) was great…Man I love mystique :lovin:

edit: I posted this here cuz wolverine is technically part of the X-men

Anyone planning on picking up Young X-Men that starts in April? I’ll mainly pick it up for Dust really

Hey, not bad… Guggenheim and Paquette. I thought it was gonna be Yost and Kyle. I might actually give the TRADE, BABY a shot.

Okay so how can you introduce new characters? I thought there were only 198 mutants left.

^You just answered your own question

See i could’ve sworn there was a list breakdown on which mutant still had powers though thats why i ask why the new characters all of sudden.

Ink and the other new mutant are among the 198 (do note that the 198 don’t include the X-Men and a few other Mutants), you can check them here-

Is anyone else confused right now. Like Rahne is standing around in uncanny, then she is taking off in x factor, then suddenly she is captured… out of nowhere. Did i miss something. And wolverine is everywhere all at once it seems. AND he is all preachy and acting as everyones moral compass yet he is hunting Mystique for the kill. I love xmen, so im not bitching, but these are just some of my gripes right now.

and why in xmen legacy is exodus perfectly healthy with no mention of dust grinding up his insides. and does anyone else find it hard to believe that they’d let the acolytes get the professors body? They didnt show any explaination of it in chapter 13 of messiah complex only in xmen legacy like it is a afterthought.

i hear you on your gripes.

Xmen hasn’t been streamlined as far as character continuity in a while. and it seems more and more like they don’t give a shit.

more gripes

[details=Spoiler] I’m liking X23 alot in Xforce but why do i get the feeling that it’s just going to be a book that exists to bring back dead enemies. already it’s only issue 2 and the phalanx is back, bastion/nimrod is back, looks like prime sentinals will follow suit.

also it’s not just wolverine that is everywhere … angel is trapped in the 1960’s in sanfran cisco with scott and emma and yet they are also available for chit chat outside warrens estate with xforce? [/details]

with ivasion set to start in all the marvel titles … i’d say the Xmen are completely suspect… alot of them are showing up all over the place.

Also I’m really feeling cable#1 I like the cat and mouse game they are setting up. Of course if that mouse gets back full access to his tk and telepathy … the cat is as good as dead.

I’m noticing the baby has red hair. Jean? is that you? If it is … nobody tell wolverine he’ll totally go pedophile.

When did cable#1 come out and Xforce #2?

yesterday.
