wheee ok so i have to beat the guy who took out valle and damdai at mwc and you have to get top 5 at sf4. sounds like a deal to me

Yeah, especially in NYC. I’d say having a car in Manhattan is a disadvantage.

yup just him and the other 14 ppl in the tournament.

haha there was 40 ppl at mwc for hdr joker=P

damn syxx why you riding devin so hard?

cuz i don’t want him to do shitty at another tournament because he’s gonna be the best representation we have for super at EOS

ok dan ima hit you with this sarcastic flow right here and say:

40 ppl is a huuge tourney, especially for a major of mwc’s status. going by that number you can definitely tell that theres gonna be a lot of ppl for hdr at EOS.

Unique circumstances not withstanding, it’s much easier to place high when there’s a small turnout. The more entrants, the more rounds, and the more variance involved.

Devin are you driving anyone else to EOS?

Yo, on the off-chance I’m able to make it, I’ll probably need to ride w/ you Devin… that is if you’re cool with driving (I’ll give gas $$$) and Frankie is cool with another body over at his place.

sometimes the quality is more important than the quantity. Compare lets say… 3D players in wisconsin to the 2D players. There are a hell of a lot more SF4 players but how many have won a major? Now how many 2D players in WI have won majors outside of the state? I’m not hating but at the current skill level (which don’t get me wrong, can get much better) even though there are maybe a dozen Tekken players left, that’s where the better players are.

And yeah I know the turnout will be relatively low compared to the olden days for HDR. Because most of the people who play that game in Chicago run and hide when actual good players come out. See : Dead13s getting a dozen or so players to play in a tournament when I’m not there compared to when I actually go and people pretend like they never even touched the game before.

Andrew don’t let madwak throw you off, i was winning 25 to 30 person tournamets in chicago for months before someone finally beat me but like I said I made it to grand finals every time and almost every time not even coming out of the losers bracket. Meanwhile he hasn’t won one of those coffee shop tournments where there are like some smash bros players and some dudes that played online a little bit.

One other thing I wanted to add to hype up antonio even more… remember the last BIG touranment we had in green bay… keep in mind who won every street fighter he entered… he was at fight night… doesn’t give a shit enough about sf4 to even bother with it… that is what im talking about the real talent.

yeah ill drive you guys. 6 or 7 bucks should cover it.

Oh yeah the point i’m trying to make is not that you guys suck or anything like that but that a lot of you are soooo far behind on where you should be with sf4. It’s fine if you play for fun or whatever and don’t care about becoming a top player in that game or w/e, that’s cool but for the people that actually do want to get to that level well in general milwaukee’s got a lot of work to do but you guys just gotta keep pushing and playing as much as possible so you guys won’t be so free every time chicago comes up… and trust me i expect a lot of them to show up at the next tracks tournament so you had better be ready.

I think my problem is that I lack fundamentals. A new character would help to but I dont know who I want to play as… :frowning:

yeeeah im godlike at sf4 i suck in tournaments though. and i got good combos
jesus this video editing shit isnt for me. that shit took me like an hour to edit. if windows 7 came stock with windows movie maker id have that shit upped like 3 hours ago.

and antonio, mateo, and all them have been playin tekken and have been playing it seriously for years though. ssf4 is a majority of new players who dont have much exp. in other games. if we were as good as big city scenes id be fuckin surprised.

Stop playing 2 button T Hawk.

New Maaahvel video and characters look slick. Mad hyped for next year!

Add me on the PSN if you play Castle Crashers. I am mad addicted! LOL!!!

I miss the arcade culture in Milwaukee…:frowning:

Than come play games or attend the tourney Oct. 2 at Tracks.

I agree with everything Dan is saying I would personally like to be not so damn nervous in tourneys and not make dumb mistakes that cost me matches. I feel I did much better last tourney but still there is always room for improvement. I want Milwaukee to be able to go toe to toe with Chicago at the next Tracks. My question is this tho how many people in our scene actually want to level up? I feel like a large portion of the players here just play on a casual level.

Here comes a rant I see a lot of people using macros at the tourneys. Seriously how hard is it to hit 3 buttons simultaneously? This shit just irritates me. It’s like damn if you guys played ST on a cabinet you couldn’t even do Zangief’s lariat that’s pretty sad. This is why I think newer fighting games suck in a way. I realize they want to broaden the audience of people playing but damn people you’ve been playing how long? Time to take the training wheels off.

Jerry’s is pretty much an arcade every tuesday

You guys ever listen to KMFDM i used to love that shit in high school
