hey guys, sorry to break the news but i won’t be able to host this tuesday. the studio engineer offered us tuesday to record and given that he is booked for the rest of the month we have to take it. hopefully chun pai can host, although i really, really want a piece of that RB2 action.

He made some video about him crying about it and how he hasn’t gonna do any videos any more but a couple weeks later he was back to spending all his money on that stupid shit and probably is divorced now. I dunno about you but I would give up all games forever for a hot asian wife.
Mad drama yesterday. We had just left the hotel and started making our drive back. My van started powering down on me on the highway, I pulled into a gas station parking lot off the exit, and my van died completely. We called a tow truck, the truck took my van to a repair shop (closed on Sundays) and then I had a taxi take me to a Hertz rental facility and I rented a car. I then drove the rental car to pick the guys back up at the gas station, we all drove to the repair shop to get our stuff, then finally made our way back to Milwaukee. We didn’t get home until 10pm.
Today, I’m leaving in 30 minutes to drive back to Minnesota, drop off this rental, pick up my (hopefully) repaired van, then drive back to Milwaukee. FUCK MY LIFE.

yeah the tourney was fun as fuck until Sunday, but even then it wasnt bad cause andrew knew what the fuck he was doing regarding the situation. I would’ve been pissed out of my mind. it was long though lol.
Milwaukee didnt do too bad though overall no one went 2 and out. we just need more matchup experience and to hit up training mode and step up that execution.

I think I’m getting slightly better about mixups and learning to block better. I think i get too eager to throw out a move and get countered a lot.
Damn that sucks andrew. Same shit happened to my car but it started back up. I have a clogged cat so I guess with the car running at hifh speeds with a/c on for 4+hrs takes it toll. Hopefully it didn’t cost a hit load of $ and u make it there and back safely.
I agree with madwak. The ppl we lost to were charcters that no one plays in milwaukee. Hopefully some of the chicago guys that DON’T play the same charcters we play show up for tracks or new player locally come out.
I’m not sure who all from Chi/IL will show up at the next tourney as there is a ranbat in Chicago that day. Floe did express interest in coming tho.

Andrew got a new alternator and a new battery for his van. He is having lunch with his wifey in Mn. He told me to post here and let you all know that its all good.
I went two and two in Super IV . . . beat a T-Hawk who said he’s only played the game “like twice” in the very first match. His buddy told him to jump and hit 3 punch macro, and when he lands, spin the joystick and hit lp. Then he told his buddy “no fear”, which I told him was good advice. I was able to overcome this strategy, however, granting me my first tourney victory. Apparently the guy was a smash player who made his buddy play smash, and his buddy punished him by making him take part in Super IV (uber punishment, as this game is brutal). So there’s the story of my first win in a tourney with an entry fee. It only took me since the release of vanilla 2 to accomplish this amazing feat. I won my second against a chun who would be no match for syxx’s or chun pai’s chuns, so shout outs to chun pai and syxx’s respective chuns for helping me with the chun matchup. I then lost to two dudes who were smaller than Arsenal irl - Cody and Ken players. I got rushed and execution went down the toilet. Every match seemed close though. Seemed like all were within about 25% of KO.
All in all, it was a blast.
Didn’t know that was your first major tournament. Just keep going to tournaments and play OFFLINE at gatherings or tournaments. I can’t stress that enough because playing with others offline helps a lot more than online does. Just continue to ask ppl on matchups and ways to get around things and you’ll level up quicker. Once u start to play more tournaments your confidence builds and when ur in situations like how they rushed u down, u can adapt quicker and adjust ur game accordingly. Hopefully u come this saturday to the tracks so we can get some games in.
