Damage reduction is a good thing, I’m kinda pissed about the jab headbutt invincibility change, but it just means more whiffed oichos to build that meter. Jab HB will be useful on wakeup/reversal for moves that hit low like the shoto sweeps, could be interesting/useful in a different way.

Some translations are saying it’s Ultra 1 that has the increased fireball invincibility. I think they’re trying to shut down the late game fireball spam that keeps him out by giving him a more chun li or Boxer type Ultra to get through predictable fireballs. He always struggles against fireballs so it’s a good change, imo.

I think too that the U2 changes will make it less of a gimmick ultra and more of a mixup type of thing. It’ll be harder to land cause of the startup but the longer range and easier motion should make it more useful in general.

At least they didn’t make jab hands harder to do. I just hope his damage hasn’t gone down too far. He should be hitting as hard as any of the big high health characters do, it’s not like he has tons of combos.

I don’t think he got hit with the nerf stick as bad as some. His damage needed to be fixed, it was a little overboard.
It’s hard to tell with the poor quality of translation if they meant that his specials were being reduced in damage but his normals stayed strong or what. Some say “overall reduction in damage” some say “his basis of strength remains the same”. I think a lot of it depends on how much of a damage nerf we’re talking about.

Satallite is annoying, yet, it’s her only viable get-the-fuck-off-me move she has, and considering it’s her Ultra (only 2 maximum per round), it’s fair as is. Without invincibility, what’s the point anymore? The combo-aspect was just a bonus, the real draw was the invincibility. Choppie knows what I’m talking about.
