Thanks Scotch!

Thatā€™s not entirely true.
You might not need a template when you simply have a large picture spanning your panel surface, but templates ARE needed if you want your art to work WITH the joystick buttons: outlines to the joystick- or button-holes, or button-labels, and the like.

Internal height is greater, right?

Thatā€™s how it worked when I did my VLX. I took it to them with the template and they said remove those lines because they canā€™t guarantee where it will come out will line up. Luckily, I had the base image on the same thumb drive. Anyway @ā€œJasen Hicksā€ did I read on Twitter youā€™re going to be carrying the PS4 Audio board specifically for the Panzer? I ordered the one from Arcadeshock in hopes that I can use it with my Panzer. It has a ton of connectors on it. Will it not work? Do I have to buy the one I think I saw you mention on Twitter? Lemme know man. Thanks.

Yes, its going to be 2.5" total height to accommodate the Korean Lever bodies.

I know that at least the mode selector connector (DP/LS/RS) wonā€™t work. Canā€™t say the others will either as I know that Brook typically uses ā€œnakedā€ pins vs. housings like I do. Will the wires plug in, yeah, probably. Will they stay put? Doubtful.

@ā€œJasen Hicksā€ Are you going to be offering the Audio board on your site this Friday?

Yeah, i will have a few up for purchase separate from the PFS3i Kits. I didnā€™t order a ton of them like I do the UFB because I wasnā€™t sure of the demand of them. I have a lot to get done between today and tomorrow night in order to have it all up so it might be delayed a day, but they will be there.

@ā€œJasen Hicksā€ hey I just got my panzer all set up and Iā€™m using Arcade Shockā€™s pre-soldered header version of the UFB. I noticed the harness for the TP/L3/R3 faces out toward the wall of the stick and your version goes straight up. I was able to couple the harness for the 3-way LS/RS/d-pad together to make the touchpad part work but was wondering if you had any specific advice for ordering a harness long enough to work? If I have to solder I will but Iā€™ll avoid if if I can just grab a different cable.

The harnesses are special made; nobody makes them for the Panzer and presoldered headers from any of the other shops. The included cable should work fine with the way the connector is oriented, it just may be a bit tight.

Jasen

@ā€œJasen Hicksā€ Do you have any plans on making replacement panels for the Hori RAP 4/5 or Razer Panthera. I have a Hori RAP 4 KOF Edition (layout is 5 I believe) and Iā€™d love to be able to put a Hitbox panel in it. Itā€™s a waste because Iā€™m not using it because it still has a stick in it. Iā€™ve fully converted to Hitbox and it sucks not being able to collect controllers because they all, well, use sticks. The two sticks I mentioned are pretty popular and different panels for them would probably sell. Anyway, just a thought. Thanks.

@Perkolator Do you need this? https://arcadeshock.com/collections/frontpage/products/4-pin-l3-r3-touchpad-harness-cable-for-brook-ufb-ps4-fighting-board-w-audio-version-2-110-female-connectors

I put this in my Panzer that I swapped Arcadeshocks PS4+ Audio board in and it works just fine. Itā€™s a tight fit, but it does fit in the port just the cables are snug against the wall of the panzer.

No, they both have way too much plastic support under the panel that would require cutting and hence making them less robust and the would eventually break. There are a number of issues I see from a support side and based on experience with people not fully reading descriptions and installation guides it would take a lot of time away from supporting my flagship products such as the Panzer and ADCAP. Not all sticks are designed for full modability or advanced mods and the way plastic stick designs are now a days, its even harder.

The latest Panzer Fight Stick build. Super Famicom themed on a Retro Gray Panzer Fight Stick 3i. All Seimitsu Parts and super clean on the inside because of the EZ BUILD setup. I decided to give the PS4+ with Audio Board a whirl in this guy since its now available on my shop and I typically only play on my PS4

@ā€œJasen Hicksā€ Are you going to be adding more purchasing options for the Panzer Hitbox at any time? Like choosing between the Neutrik or the Pro Cable, or changing PCBs?

I ordered the older Panzer 3 Korean edition a couple of days ago. Pretty cool. $150ish with shipping and insurance. I already have someone making some cool art for me for it. Itā€™s gonna be awesome. Iā€™m gonna put a Crown 309 HelpMe in it. I already have a Brook UFB from my Hitbox panzer 3. I swapped that one with the PS4+ audio board. I canā€™t wait for next week!

This weekend; I had a bunch of new colors come in and I want to set the Hitbox listing up like the Panzer 3i.

@ā€œJasen Hicksā€ Iā€™ve committed to eventually getting a Panzer 3i after seeing your latest build videos, which were awesome. But I have some questions for you.

  1. Iā€™ve pre-ordered the Paradise Magenta stick, which I assume youā€™re aware of. Based on whatā€™s been discussed, the form factor of the stick is basically like the JLF, but 1/8" deeper. Will that be a problem? In general, how much clearance is there from a standard JLF setup between the bottom of the stick housing and the case bottom?

  2. The Magenta is a powered stick, and I saw on the build videos that you have stick connectors for powered and regular sticks all included. Thatā€™s great, but I was just wondering how easy it would be to connect 5V to the stick independently if your powered connector isnā€™t compatible with the Magenta. (Iā€™d be getting the Brook UFB with it.)

  3. The Magenta stick itself has a button, meant to be accessed after opening up the case, to switch between its programmable stick profiles. It also has leads for an external button to do this for cases that arenā€™t easily opened up in the field (like the Panzer) which is something I think Iā€™m going to need access to in some way. Not that you need another button hole on your cases (though it would be nice!), but it does get me wondering. Have you personally, or know of anyone using your cases, had to setup something with the wiring where simultaneous presses on two (or more) different buttons would substitute as a different/unique button press? I donā€™t see why that wouldnā€™t be possible, though Iā€™m just wondering if you have any experience with that kind of thing in regards to your case hardware.

3Ā½. Just generally about the Magenta, since itā€™s looking like it will be something huge in the FGC, I hope your sticks will be Magenta-friendly if theyā€™re not already.

  1. Do you have a template/schematic for the front panel cutout? A plexi insert would be super overkill, so I donā€™t need it for that. But I have some ideas about using vinyl stickers on the front and sides to complete the theme build Iā€™m imagining and having those specs would be a big help.

  2. I see that the Panzer 3i recently launched and that historically youā€™ve had limited runs of different colors. With the 3i, are you going to be releasing new colors soon? I kind of need a yellow one and Iā€™m okay with waiting, but Iā€™m just wondering what your timeframe is of when we might start seeing more.

Thank you so much!

  1. It will fit. The Panzer 3i is 2.5" tall. It fits Korean levers, so Magenta and every other lever should be fine.

  2. Just cut the 5V line and route it to wherever you need. Its the 5V wire.

  3. It would require some sort of controller board do this. The PFS3i does not support this function on its own. You could just wire one of the front buttons to the lever instead of L3 or R3 though.

3.5. They are. The Magenta will fit.

  1. No. This is not available.

  2. Yellow will not be making a come back as a special color run. Only 3-4 sold overall, so it wasnā€™t worth the effort to make them available. Hit me up offline and Ill see what I can do for you as a one off.
