It also has LS/DP/RS switch support, L3, R3, and TPKey support out of the box. The optical Hayabusa working out of the box is nice too. I see one last button connected to that PCB, but I’m trying to figure out what that is for. Tournament lock switch maybe?
15 buttons = 8 for 1,2,3,4 PK, 3 for options, share, home, 3 for L3, R3, TP Key and possibly 1 for a turbo button?
The switch I’m guessing will be for LS/DP/RS
Looks like I’ll start saving for this stick
It’d be great if we could get base options - I personally prefer the bases with the foam eg VLX/TE2. I don’t need the see through base for lighting displays, it’ll be a simple all white stick for me
I don’t think it’s turbo, look closely, there’s no harness going from the Brook UFB’s Turbo pins to the Panzer 3.0 pins. Everything else seems pretty spot on tho, so who knows what that last button is for yet.
That definitely looks cool. Would love to see a more minimalist panzer though. Ie I’m not a fan of the systems of systems board (I prefer to do my own mod set-ups).
No, but it’s possible that he could use a separate ground wire from the UFB and use a switch to let those ground wires flow to Home, Start, and Select, or off to not let it flow.
Yeah I’m sure Jasen has some circuitry tricks that would enable a lock switch - I recall him saying he could’ve done it on the EZ Mod for the TE2 but it would’ve required more programming and effort which would drive the price up, so he just stuck to a TP Key/Turbo/L3/R3 option to make it cost effective.
All excellent assumptions. I will tell you all that if you look close at the pictures I have posted in various places, you will see everything
The Razers are interesting, but I have no desire to work with plastic. Every time I hold a plastic stick I think cheap… even if it cost well over $200 they always have something I don’t like in the build. Heck, even the OGs have some flaws I didn’t like.
I think the benefits of the System of systems are there for the masses, making a quality DIY setup within everyones reach. Easy builds that always look clean are important when you don’t want to build a stick for every single customer (I wish I had the elves to help do it though) and your name happens to be on it in some way shape or form
With the basis of my sticks focused around using the new Universal Fighting Board and to a lesser extent the PS360+ the relatively small overall addition of cost of the included wiring and PCB make them an easy stash away for the end user to wire them up however they want. That being said, there never has been a hard fast rule that the system of systems has to be used.
I totally understand, and from a market viability perspective I agree with you. You’ll definitely sell more sticks that reduce the technical modding requirements. As someone that has been using a solder iron for many years and taken university level electrical courses, I really enjoy doing the modding myself. I wouldn’t want a plastic case either though. I own one madcatz te, and that is the last plastic stick I’ll ever own. I was thinking more along the lines of a metal panzer with some sort of insert system like the honeycomb instead of the system of systems board that allows me to mount pcbs and other items free form to do my own layouts.
