I’ve tried Ibuki, pretty much as bad as it was with Chun. Also tried Nina, not too bad. Not as easy as with Marduk but it’s definitely easier to do.

Yo guys, for a mixup into Combo, king can combo off the third hit of his f+mp string. So if you do 3, and they block low and get hit by the over head, you can link into cr lp or cr mp into launcher, Konvict Kick, or whatever you want. Keep this in mind.

any tips for ex konvict kick > knee? i always get DDT or too late knee ._.
Practice? DDT is really ease to have come out accidentally on the EX version as opposed to the normal versions for some reason, but there’s a fairly massive window where you can start doing the Knee and not get a DDT. Just let the move connect, wait a split second, press :mk:

your basic tag combo. magic series combos are the term used when referring to ‘dial-a-combo’ style combos (like in marvel games with abc->launcher), or in the case of sfxt, light, medium, heavy, launcher

And does he have a go-to meterless combo that doesn’t involve jumping in?
I like the damage off of j.mp, UF+mk (x3), c.hp, heavy jaguar slam (409) or heavy reverse slam (389) but I don’t want to rely on jumping in to get my damage. The only other option I can think of is jaguar step + elbow drop, st. hp, heavy jaguar slam (306) but then again, I don’t want to rely on jaguar step.

Its not exactly a combo, but its a tricky jag step setup that I was doing last night that leads to 306 damage:
low forward xx jagstep -> overhead ~ standing fierce xx jag bomb. The later part of the combo is good for when using jag step to bait a normal in footsie.

If it is not an optimal time for me to use meter, I go for:
cr. jab ~ cr. jab ~ cr. strong xx qcb punches. does something like 221 meterless, but more importantly leads to hard knockdown to set up bullshit.
When I do want to use the meter, here is the ex combo i go for:
cross up/fake cross up j. forward ~ cr. forward ~ cr. fierce xx damage city.
The reason I am mentioning this is because I really believe this is the best combo to go for since cr. forward hits low, so it works best in your shining wizard setups, and as Mutton man mentioned, you HAVE to do cr. fierce to force them into a stand state if they are crouching to get knees to hit. With one meter, I was able to squeeze 431 out.
Why are you doing the :qcb: :p: RASC instead of a :dp: :hk:? Not certain on the timing for the DDT?
I’ll have to try the Step setup, although I worry about people who mash jab. Solid way to beat reversals though
Yeah if I notice them mashing jab when during a tech, I don’t do it. I find more solid players don’t mash on jab to much, and you can time it on a certain frame where its very safe and hard to see.
Yeah, only been playing online lately due to work unfortunately, so haven’t been going for DDT since I found it so hard to be consistent on the timing when online. Its been seeping into my real time play/strategy which I will definitely have to just practice on and change.
Do you think pianoing the DDT would make it more consistent? Since you would be technically getting 6 tries: three of the button press, three of the negative edge. I am going to test this tonight.
