Designed where the snap buttons snap to the plexi, so nothing would be there to hold down the plexi. Better to just use screw in buttons. Unless Volt has different set ups for it. Im just stating what my two cases are like.
You plug an A/B (think printer cable) usb cable from the cthulhu to the NAUSB hole and then plug an A to A from that to the console.
Looking at your stick, it still looks kickass with the screws, I thought it wold just take up space. Haha thanks !

Is the purple striped poplar a slim or 3"?
On the purple striped poplar is it considered “finished” meaning no sort of gloss or dye is required?
And is the layout universal for sure?
Mines was actually a viewlix on arrival (which was perfect by the way.)
Universal in that case actually means the universal 3’’ case not the button layout.
Btw Voltech, how are the cases coming along?
The Purpler striped Poplar case has a satin finish that I polished out since the pic was taken. It looks a bit more glossy now. The button layout is my “Universal” layout and it is a slim case.

I am doing the Finish work today and through the weekend, although it’s been cool today and that means slower drying times so lets hope it warms up just a little. I still plan to try and start shipping early next week.

I just have some questions regarding Korean Fanta/Crown sticks in your case.
Does the top plexiglass have to be special ordered to fit the sticks since the top hole has to be 35-36mm?
How deep in the MDF is the mounting plate so that the joystick is sticking out 2mm above the plexiglass? (I belive 2mm above the plexi is the Korean standard)
Special ordered aswell?
Finally, will a Fanta/Crown fit in a slim case?

A: You just need to let me know that you plan to use a fanta stick in the special requests section or an email and I’ll cut the hole to fit.

A: Well I use 1/2" MDF and 1/8" Plexi on top so I just route out the MDF to the correct height leaving 2mm

A: Not the 2" I have to adjust the height to about 2 1/2"

Voltech, didn’t you get some korean sticks to try out? I’ve used some before, but I never knew which one I used.
I’m real partial to the Crown 305 because of the square actuator. (Reminds me of Happ Comp, I never liked leaf microswitches.) What are your insights?

Yes I did, I have a few different models the and I’m currently using the Crown 305. It’s a bit softer than the Fanta brand but they feel almost exactly the same otherwise. I also am a fan of the square actuator .

In other news I am closing my store for a few weeks while I catch up with my orders and restock my Inventory. I am working on a new prototype but I need some time to develop it so give me a few weeks to work out the kinks. I may still make this current model but I need to find a way to speed up the process. So I’m going to do a little shopping around and see if I can get the tools to do the job.
