it’s true, i had a friend crash over at my house and i didnt have a pillow for him so i took those foam things that were cushioning my case and threw them in a sheet and he was satisfied.

That foam was cool but a little over the top and expensive, but I’m glad you found a good use for it.
Anyway I need the full payment up from because thats pretty much the standard. I ordered a stick from AIAB before I started my own builds and it was going to take 2 months. I totaly understand why but I had to pay up front their was no half now half later option. Also since I’m using Paypal your money is pertty safe. So the best thing you can do if you want to make an order is just send me an email. We’ll talk it over and work out the details. The point is I’ll start the build when I have the money otherwise you can wait and buy a pre build case when their available.
Here’s how mine turned out. Staining is a bitch to say the least. It was too hard to get even, so I just decided to go for a weathered/vintage look to match with the artwork.
Yes, I know this artwork is overused, but it gives me the nostalgic feeling.
I didn’t take any pictures of the wiring because it really looks like a ball of yarn that unraveled.

These look to be big like a TE stick if im correct? I hate small box sticks really they just have no weight and fly off my lap a bit too easy, If this is about that size im going to be picking up a case very soon(2 weeks), I really would like one that has a black finish to it already though, ill be back soon!

Voltechs are nice and heavy and love the way it sits on my stand in front of my chair. Just waiting on some buttons and will take pics of my stick. I finished it all up in the paint and wire department, just need the buttons.
I love the old school look, reminds me of what I grew up playing on nice work!
I made a few changes to the pricing again and also put together a quick website since I got the domain www.voltecharcadesticks.com right now it only allows you to make an order but I’ll be updating it soon as I get some help with the design.
Ok I’ve got a few more wood types to work with. I’ve come across some exotics, bamboo and a whole pallet of mixed poplar from very pale to pink to green. The exotics from left to right are Pau Ferro, Purple Heart and Wenge.
Zebra wood
Bamboo
Pink striped Poplar
These will be made into my Universal 12"x8"x3" cases (That means that Happ Competition, Perfect 360, Sanwa, Siemitsu, Crown and Fanta sticks will work with this case design). No paints stains or dyes just a clear lacquer finish to retain the beauty of the wood.

All the woods I have are posted above but you’re talking about Gaboon Ebony I believe. Very expensive wood about $70 per board foot. (It’s takes about 1 board foot to build a case)
Ok finished up my stick and its my fav one of the 4 i own now. While i work mostly as a graphic artist i do paint statues and sculpt as my hobby so it helped to know how to paint this up.
I painted it all in candy apple red. then i sprayed black paint into a cup and splattered it onto the case. From there i used toothbrush and sorta did lots of small splatters. Then i cleared coated it about 7 times since the splatters were thick. This way when i sanded down the clear coat and used a rubbing polish it evened all the surface out. Then i waxed it and got this.
More or less i was going for that SF4 splatter effect from focus attacks, While not perfect i love how it looks. I also did all the artwork myself in photoshop (helps to be a graphic artist) Hope you guys like it and can check out my web site http://web.me.com/ficchi

holy shit that akuma case is amazing, did you use a vermillion ball top or is that the regular red one?
Just the reg red one that came with the stick, but i ordered a bat top so will be replaced soon.
Also i took off the rubber feet from one of my SFAC cases and used it on this stick. Holes the case better on my little stand in front of my chair.
