now i want my case so bad. voltech when will u finished my case. hell give me the painted one.
pretty much everyone who sees the case is blown away by the quality…the painted case has a felt bottom…its pretty awesome
I’m glad you like them! I should note that the maple cases I made in that last batch where from a nice thick piece that I found was just lying around in my dads shop. I’ll see if I can get some more that thick but most Hardwoods come in 1" those pieces where more like 1 1\4" I’m also looking at other types of Hard woods and some different shapes like a slim model (non Happ)
I just want to add that I’m jealous of anyone who has one of these sticks… from reading the thread in the Tech subforum, these things look fucking ace.
…
a slim model would be cool…io want first on the slim model list…i got like 8 sticks now…all 360…need to dual mod one or two if ic an one of those toodles boards
sup Jesse, how are the cases drying up?
Things are comming along I’m at the shop now and have a bunch of poplar blanks cut in various stages getting ready for their first coats of Lacquer. I’ll start getting some Hardwood cases cut out soon.
I just got my painted case - this thing is incredible!
Thanks, Voltech!!
Its pretty darn low for a case that can fit happs parts. The only thing better would be a slimmer, japanese parts only box.
got my case today. I chose this layout based on what buttons I had laying around. great case.

thanks man
Glad you like it Do you plan to do any stain or finish to the wood. An oil/wax or carnauba wax would look really nice on there if you want to protect the wood from hand oils and water damage.
Also looks like you could use a few more nuts and bolts.
good job fundando! You planning on painting the case?
I would like to stain it but I have no previous experience staining wood. We’ll see what happens
Maple can be tough to stain unless you use a Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner. It helps the stain to stay consistant. Email me and I can give you some help and advice.
Yeah I gave plenty of though of whether I’m gonna stain the maple, but I’m starting to lean on the idea of just giving it a clear coat. Voltech, you think two coats of polyurethane would be sufficient? Would I need to sand it down before applying the first coat?
Honestly if I’m staining something I ALWAYS use pre-stain. I forgot once and the stain ended up looking like shit, blotchy, uneven, just ugh… And like Voltech said, Maple is a prime suspect for blotchy, uneaven results if it isn’t pre-stained
It’s relativly easy to stain though, pretty much just reading the directions on the back of the pre-stain, and then the stain’s can will get your there with great results.
Just be sure everything’s smooth bforehand and that you use a clean rag for the stain and pre-stain
Good luck man!
wow man i hope you make more cause i would like one
fundando PM sent
Ghaleon109 speaks the truth!
citi0fbrass I’m working on it trust me
Change is in the air!
Seeing as most people are using all japanese parts in my cases and the over all popularity
I’m debating on making an Asian only (non Happ) slim model and maybe changing up my design a bit but keeping the top sheets and Universal mounting plates. I’ll still make the OG Universal Voltech case but will add the new Slim Voltech model once I’ve completed my list orders. I have about 10 more poplar Universal cases (not maple) ready to be lacquered or sold as blanks.
