sorry about that, I thought you answered your own question! if I had a choice I would take digital over dual shock but thats just a personal preference. my philosophy about digital over DS is depending on the version it has less things to go wrong if something IS to go wrong. I’m personally not one to use converters or guarantee they work every time even with the same pcb type used. but if someone wants a dual shock I try my best to get them one if it will make them sleep easier if they do choose to use a converter.
as far as a first party digital pad pushing in one direction in it’s native form (used exclusively on the PS2) never seen it before. I have seen (not my own) the flex cable between the two pcbs on a dual shock break due to wear and tear and cause a stuck input scenario. when dealing with this style of dual shock pcb I try to keep the flex cable in a relaxed position (not sandwiched hard between the two pcbs) just in case the rare event that something bad happens.
sometimes it’s a fine art to even mounting the pcb, some are indeed easier than others but like I tell people when a stick leaves my hands I dont want it back! hahaha! So its best to do things right the first time to avoid things from happening although some things are hard to avoid such as the postal people throwing packages around like footballs. I make joysticks not abrams M1 tanks haha.

hmmm, after being consulted with per. i think im going to go with the playstaion pcb. just because there might be a situation where i would have to use a converter… that and i use a converter for my pc so i kinda need it.
lots of sticks finished, i’m gonna try to get them out asap! I’m dealing with a bit of food poisoning/contamination at the moment though… getting to the Post office might be a task and I refuse to wear pampers or huggies… LOL.
I’m gonna send them out as soon as I’m more stable to make it out the door, hope you guys understand but i’m gettin em done!
