I will be answering everyones PMs/emails this evening
A quick note about stick building in general at this time of the month… From a fabrication standpoint I can cover everyone who wants something made. that includes all metal work, paint, plexi, artwork and electrical… in other words everything that I do personally.
the problem right now is parts… even if I could make an order right now for parts it would take about 10 days for them to get here and 10 days from now puts us pretty damn close to christmas so there’s no guarantee they would make it here then. so anyone who is looking for something from me would be looking around sometime in january to play it safe for parts etc.
if this is cool with everyone then its business as usual, I just dont want people to think I have run away with their loot or have let them down in any sorta way.
hey fink (or anyone else who knows this), know the case i got from you? i want to change everything to this.
a few questions.
is it possible? I know the joystick is. but are the buttons mounted the same way? (case you forget what’s in them now is sanwa 30mm.)
where can i get those buttons? i’m assuming you got them from rod. and do you know if they come in other colors? if so what other colors? i downloaded the seimitsu catalogue from real neo geo (btw, thanks for answering the question last time neo) but the buttons aren’t listed.
are the ball top for sanwa and seimitsu the same screw size? like are they interchangable?
i would ask rod but he’s rather busy so i would like to get some info so when the time comes i’ll just order from him instead of asking him this. last time i ask him a question, took him 3 weeks to answer it.
so yeah. that’s all. simplify: replace everything with ls-55 and those buttons.
Yes, Seimitsu’s regular buttons are 30 mm in size. As for the stick, unless I’m entirely mistaken the only Seimitsu stick to use a 5-pin universal joystick cable is the LS-32-01 so you’d have a much easier time switching to that model rather than an LS-55.
Sure they are, page 17 if going by the number as printed on the original pages (which doesn’t seem to take the cover into account, that makes it the 18th page of the PDF assuming you have the second revision of the file). You can also find them on Seimitsu’s website.
Yes, at least using clear Seimitsu balltops works fine with JLF-sticks so I’d be very surprised if it didn’t work the other way around as well.
There are many seimitsujoysticks that take use of the JLF-H (5-PIN Cable), LS-32-01, LS-56-01, LS55-01, LS-33-01 (I own this myself) et.c.
All balls are interchangable (from tiny 30mm balltops to 45mm balltops Seimitsu<->Sanwa).
something I slapped together fast… just wanted to see if it was do-able its not perfect but then again what really is? rotary brushed retro look for the sides… blue paint, happ parts and salvaged from the trash bin art. design subject to change at anytime haha
Hey Noel, I was wondering what kind of glue you used for the rubber stops. Apparently while I was away on a trip I had some children over at my house and they played with the stick you made me, I dunno what kind of beating it too but it still works fine. However 3/4 of the rubber stops fell off. So if you could tell me , that’d be great. Thanks.
Wow, as a student majoring in graphic design, your stuff are fantastic! Not only do you know how to design your product, you definitely know how to take care of your customers from what I’ve read so far in this thread.
I’m very interested in ordering one myself, although it’d have to wait until after New Years since my cash is drained from buying Christmas gifts at the moment ;(.
thanks for the kind words!
Not to worry, shop is closed till after christmas so if you’re interested/ready we can work something out in your timeframe.
got your PM, replied too
