I actually wore it because, at that time and IMO, his designs were fresh.
I like Nautica but it could’nt mess with Tommy IMO at that time.
Also, I wanted to point out that the company South Pole was really geared towards young, Black youth, but who primarily wears it?
Mainly white kids that are considered by others as TPT [Trailer Park Trash].
The same could be said about FUBU. IMO, they kinda lied about who they really wanted to wear their clothing. For Us By Us? who’s “us”? O Rly?
I just want people to get that I like to make people laugh with me, and to also bring attention to my lifestyle which is a big chunk of it belongs to being a gamer. The rest goes to being into many forms of art and expression, music, women, and politics.
I feel you man. I wore it initially because i like the designs as well, but when i found out about all the jive he was talking, that was even more reason to continue to rock it.
I think there are some very tasteful SouthPole designs as of late though. I consider myself a fan.
But I feel you on this especially (part i bolded). That is why I wanna support the NI cause.
as of now, I only have 5 members that have done a prepay.
Im still in a need for the complete 20 members to get everything in the right direction.
So, if I haven’t recieved at least 10 more prepays by the 28th then Im just going to give those 5 members who did their shirts and I wont be making anymore after that for a while [not by choice]. I really can’t sit too long on this nore do I want to make the guys are really interested in this to have wait forever. I think they’ve waited long enough.
I can’t spam on the site so please don’t do that for me. Im just gonna let people see it on their own. So if you want a shirt then go for it but if you don’t then that’s your business.
you did not have to put that amount but… just know that when the shirts are done, your shirt is already paid for and all that’s left is S/H which I’m estimating to be 6-8 bucks [look for a hook up in the future].
thankx a lot, maxx. you’re the 7th man [RockBogart is 6th]
which brings me to an update:
@ BIGWORM and other large guys,
I did do my research and my largest size will be 3XL untill further notice. what I mean by that is I’m still gonna try and work out a deal with my provider. More members requesting a NI means more flexibility with sizes [it’s in bulk].
@ everyone else,
I was told that I can’t make any shirts with my provider unless I have a minimum of 12 shirts being made. we are currently at 7 [1 member = 1 shirt].
what this means is the word needs to be spread BUT keep in mind of SRK’s rules. Im not spamming nore would I ever. If you think a member you talk to on SRK would like a shirt just point this thread out to them via email. If they’re not intrested then whoop they ass in SF4 or somethin’.
the sort version: a parody of Sol Badguy’s Dragon Install
long version:
a joke, turned into a bet, turned into a really great shirt.
I support video games and most importantly, great gamers all over the globe. the bulk of the meaning comes from what Sol’s actual move does: acts like a bankai and lets that person perform in ways not normally possible. So, with that being said, it simply means “to step your game up”.
To have a shirt say the DI instead of NI is not only not funny but it goes on the lines of just plain jane.
which leads to the other meanings: which makes things deeper than a “parody”
-SCOTT POPULAR [the guy you see wearing the shirt the most] is good at pulling women… Japanese women is a plus, lol. That takes skill and anyone who would want to be like or somethin similar to what my boi SCOTT can do, you need to step your game up. the short/ghetto description: step yo’ pimp game up.
Politics: Barack Obama. do I need to say anymore?
Art and Expression: Americans envy what the Japanese have given the world of animation and it’s one of the most popular art forms out. Unfortunately, some movies/series depict other races as weak compared to was is typically seen in the 20th century. Time has changed and shows like Afro Samurai prove that. short version: everyone is relevant in life regardless of race and art expressions.
The Gamer: don’t be the next Daigo, John Choi, J, whoever. Do what you do but do it better. Don’t like being a pad warrior then get a arcade stick. Don’t like fighters and shooters because “I sux”. stop making excuses and step yo fuckin game up. study.
You: This means to better yourself. Not just because your Black, Asian, Jewish, Mixed, ect. That’s not important at all. You are important. You on this earth is important, and if you feel you have’nt amounted to anything then change that. Better the things around you. Your neighborhoods, your jobs, you mind set, your lifestyle, and even your relationships with people and family. Step your game up!
all in all, whatever you value in life then step your game up no matter what it is.
is red the only color as an option. if u made one in black and white would that need another min of 12. cuz i’ll buy one in red and one in black if thats an option.
just for right now, the default NI’s will be in red and are the only ones I’m gonna make.
when I’m ready to give out the shirts in different colors I’ll let you and everybody else know.
Blk w/ white letters will be my first option [I wear Black a lot].
next shirts will be based on what the people want. I wanted to make a “Sean” colored one but white letters don’t show well on yellow. Pink is a horrible option. If I ever did that it would a limited edition, lol.
Hey shatter, you still working on stuff for the non negroes? I want some of my non negroes to cop the tee, but they are expressing the same concerns as some of the posters here.
One thing i didn’t think about that one friend mentioned to me: what if he had the tee that just had “NI” on it, but someone asked him what it meant?
