WTB: custom xbox 360 stick with quality stick/buttons

Like I said, I think certain sticks are aligned better (I.e, think of the square being at “true north-south”, if you install the stick say, 4 degrees off, that means it’s over 1% off… so on the sloppier executions you have a window where you might press directly one direction but a little off which would be alright on a normal stick registers as not at all, or the wrong direction entirely)…

Then consider that certain microswitches could have different wear and tear, etc…some sticks will be different from others for sure, also different spring wear. Every one will be unique due to wear and tear, and how they were installed. It will be slight but you notice certain sticks are better. For instance, remember my orange agetec I had? I bought the parts for that stick at the same time as my wooden stick, but I NEVER felt as confident on that orange agetec as my wooden one. It was about 90% as good, still quite good, but not magical like my wooden one.

Seriously, my wooden stick does everything I ask it to, no question.

No, it’s some piece of shit clone of the same quality as the stock agetec. It’s not even as good as a Tekken 5.

ok but I’m still confused about the stick. if you look at this guide here:

http://pineconeattack.com/2008/12/07/how-to-mod-the-hori-fighting-stick-ex2-with-authentic-arcade-parts-xbox-360-version/

you can see that the stick is comprised of the switches, which they recommend replacing, and then a steel cylinder (shaft), spring, and ball top. How can the “quality” of a steel shaft be good or bad? Do I just buy a new shaft, new spring, and new ball top? It seems hard to believe a new steel cylinder would change the “feel” of a stick…

hey ill take that stick lol

It’s not a stick, it’s just a gate. Nice try

also, Julien: I have a ton of those Cherry switches they use in that guide, I’ll bring you some on Friday if you want them.

^^ That would be awesome thanks Alex!
