They completely botched the Nexus thing last night. I felt like such a loser nerd when I was saying out loud “This make no sense, they fucked this all up”
Here is how you make it work…
- Have taker and bret match
- Taker comes out, takes 30 minutes
- When he is halfway to the ring, have Nexus run out there with chairs and beat the shit out of him.
- Go in the ring and beat the shit out of Bret
- Have a promo talking about how the 900th episode of Raw shouldn’t be about two old men blah blah blah
They did it all backwards and it came off making everyone look weird, especially with the light thing. They could have just had Kane come out after Nexus trashed everyone and tombstoned Taker and Bret a couple of times.
The tag match was dumb too. The two heels leaving was fine. But the way they are handling the Nexus guys makes no sense again.
One wasteland gets Orton down clean? I guess he wasn’t used to getting pinned for like 3 months and didn’t know what to do. Cena’s elimination was lame too, but it made a little more sense because they are building the 450 splash up out the ass because it is hot fire.
It just is stupid from a booking point because these guys NEVER have matches. I get that they were strained for time, but I mean lets not have a divas match. Punk was super lolz though.
IMO…Punk and Del Rio were best things about the 900th RAW.
Rhodes and Morrison are the Marty Jenneties I guess.

the whole nexus angle is trash. its not being handled properly and hasn’t been. the idea was wack. you gonna start a faction/stable out with like 8 ppl? what?
that didn’t make sense from the start but ok, lets run with it. lets give them the benefit of the doubt.
then you analyze these guys…only 2 and a half of them are decent. the others are garbage in the ring right now. none of these guys have names for themselves…or fear or anything.
like i can’t even believe they are powerful. suspension of belief can only go so far. the finishers are trash, the cena getting up after getting ddt’d on cement and winning just killed it, the way they handled what you’re talking about in your post killed it, etc. etc.
the whole thing is wrong. hopefully they fix it soon but they’re starting out terrible.
oh and did i mention that their music is trash? the shirts are trash, everything is trash. this could be handled a lot better IMO. look at the freebirds, the four horsemen, the nWo, something.
i’d rather watch nation matches or something on youtube.
I like there shirt, but yeah, most of them aren’t threatening at all because they don’t fucking wrestle. Kaval and Bryan looked way more threatening then them in there like 3 minutes of action.
Actually, I think the whole Nexus angle started out pretty damn awesomely. Pretty much everyone here will agree that the night where Nexus made its’ debut and trashed the whole ring/announcers/crew/Cena was probably the best thing you’ll ever see on TV this year. Then came the whole “Bryanson/tie” incident, which was unfortunate, as I would have rather seen Bryanson develop himself more in the role of a heel, although, then again, Bryanson is too big of a star to be walking around with a posse. :nono:
Despite the whole fallout with Bryanson, Nexus continued to be something pretty awesome, as the whole group feeling somewhat coped with their individual shortcomings. I think everyone will agree that Summerfest was probably the turning point for the Nexus: They should have NOT lost that elimination match, and much less to Super Saiyan Cena with his “Overcoming Odds Jutsu”.
Now Darren Young is gone and Skip Sheffield is hurt… And now it’s getting harder to mask the limited capabilities of people like Otunga or Tarver. So yeah… I guess they are just running in circles now, but at least they’re still being pushed somewhat (unlike the “we can’t beat Big Show in a 3-vs.-1 handicap match” SES).
Just popping in to say that if the title is a Chris Jericho reference to him dissing Dean Malenko, I approve lol. ARRRRMMMMMBARRRRRR.
Yeah, they started off great. Then bad things kept happening to the group. Losing Skip is sucky, because he was becoming a very believable giant guy who can get away with doing like 3 moves.
You just can’t have them be this scary force when they aren’t booked right. Why have them stop jumping people? It is just weird.
Punk is stuck in gimmick hell though, it must enrage HHH everyweek when he manages to make it work. He’ll make Show tap out to the Vice and move on to the next awful fued they give him. It’s fun to listen to their promos because Big SHow is lolz. Even if he is basically unbookable now.

Idk i think the angle started awesome, because unlike the horsemen or nwo these guys were just rookies. I think if dragon didn’t get fired they might have went in a different direction and had matches earlier since he was obviously the workhorse of the group who could do anything. I mean the destroyed Taker it should have been a bigger moment but with 5 guys and no lariats/kicks it sucks.
