T-Minus 8 Hours until Survivor Series. I’m actually pretty hype.
That makes The Nexus/Cena angle look much better than it actually is.
I’d really wish Cena would do something interesting for the outcome of this matchup. It would be nice to see WWE not take the easy road out; that being Cena becomes distracted allowing Barrett to win, or Randy wins and Cena returns at Royal Rumble or some other fashion.
What easy way out is there? If Barret gets the title, Cena goes through hell for a while and has to dodge Orton punt attempts for the next couple of months and that’s if he doesn’t go heel. Orton wins, they have to leave Cena off the air for a while until he gets some kind of deus ex machina to bring him back. Pretty much the only interesting way this goes is if Barrett wins, regardless of whether Miz cashes or not (which I think he will). WWE actually played it up right to where it really seems like Cena’s fucked regardless of the outcome.
Not to mention NO MATTER the outcome, Nexus can just storm the ring and pummel the living hell out of him.
Anything that doesn’t allow Cena to decide his own fate is an easy way out. What would be so interesting about a Randy/Cena angle if Cena doesn’t do anything wrong besides counting 1-2-3?(Including the “Oops, I meant to hit Barrett, but hit Orton instead” finish). How interesting is it for Cena to get fired, when we all know inevitably he’ll come back one way or another. Character wise, Cena will have some sort of direction, but it’s not necessarily going to be good or innovative.
I’d rather see Cena openly have a hand in Barrett’s win, but doesn’t necessarily turns heel or not. Then a Randy/Cena angle would have some merit.
I didn’t even know Survivor Series was tonight. I’ve been so busy helping my girlfriend find a job I’ve basically lost track of the days.
My predictions…
Cena has miz turn in MITB after barret wins… Nexus comes out to the ring but HELPS dethrone barret and Otunga takes over, then a program starts with turmoil in nexus between barret and otunga. Cena is going to have a heel turn unless orton wins fair and square, which i dont think he will. This could lead to an ACTUAL heel turn for cena… who knows.
It’d be awesome if, with the Otunga/Starscream turn, Cena stays on Nexus on his own free will.
Why would you want to see more of Otunga?
Just hope for Cena to do let Barrett win in some way that will lead to him turning completely Nexus at Wrestlingmanias if not tonight.
Barett-Cena alliance would be the best.
We’re going to see more of Otunga ANYWAY. I mean, the Starscream turn is coming, and there’s no escaping it. Might as well make it as decent as possible.
Pssft, just have him try a Starscream turn but then get beaten down by the Nexus.
Which would be a waste of a Starscream turn. Barrett doesn’t need Nexus anymore honestly. His trolling is top tier right now.
Or just fire otunga. If you try the starscream turn that ends a beat down he’d only become face by teaming with Cena. Which no one wants to see.
Well, no one wants to see Otunga in general but vince cause he thinks Otunga will draw since he’s married to some famous(?) bitch.
I want to see Otunga turn into a jet, and then get shot down by a rocket launcher.
So many of these matches seem super slapped together except the Barret/Orton/Cena love triangle. I’m kind of looking forward to the SS Elimination match and Kaval/Ziggler and Danielson/Dibiase should be good. I just want to see what the outcome to the WWE title match is, I don’t really care about the actual match itself.
I’d pay my entire life savings to get Otunga fired…even more to see Cena get the door, but I know THAT won’t happen.
Either way, let’s see what the WWE does. As long as the whole chain starts with Barrett winning, it’s fine.
Also, I hope for Danielson to retain and Kaval to win, to possibly get that Danielson/Kaval Unificiation matach down the road…if they actually do intend to unify the US and IC titles. If not, then idc if Kaval wins, because of that Rey feud he’s supposed to have.
