Yeah, Rey used to do the whiffed version all the time in WCW. Whiffed the move into an actual suicide dive. They even had in move in WCW/nWo Revenge.

WCW in it’s prime was better than anything the WWE or WWF ever did even though WWF had the bigger stars. You stayed up at night or taped that shit on VHS if your parents didn’t let you stay up to watch and practically very episode was a heel ending which made you want to tune in next week. It was like an actual soap opera.
wcw/nwo revenge was a gdlk game. i think i still got that somewhere. maybe i gave it away. it had goldbergs autograph so im sure it went down in value. one of the great multiplayer games.
