besides all-stars (which was amazing) I havent bought a wrestling game since the first sd for psone.
i really dont plan on changing that. although the roster is the biggest and most accurate its been in probably a decade it hasnt impressed me visually or with gameplay.
so still a pass.
Miz was so broken in All-stars…
Miz was really good but he wasn’t broken. You had to be really gimmicky to dominate with him, but he was still upper-mid tier.
Savage and Sheamus on the other hand…
I miss playing All-Stars. I should plug in my ps3 and play it. CM Punk was hella fun to play. He was the mix up god.
Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth is still king for me as far as the series goes. Didn’t play HCTP until a few years back and Just Bring It was horrible.
- Season mode was all PPVs instead of a handful, and you had to finish it multiple times to unlock everything. There was an overarching storyline that sometimes paralleled real life (nWo, 2002 draft, HHH return from injury) but it gave you a lot of dialogue choices.
- Hell in a Cell wasn’t just a cage match with four “breakable” doors
- A bunch of guys that weren’t playable in the last game like RVD, Booker T, Lesnar, Hurricane, DDP, etc.
- Character models looked accurate
- A lot of new animations
- finisher stealing and matrix camera during finishers
- backstage areas were huge
- after you win the match you can choose to taunt, walk to the back, or beat him with a chair

I miss when Smackdown games were fun.
I liked the way 2k16 played and simmed matches were epic
I love that the bullet club is all in there

SvR06 was the best smackdown best sub system, best cage match, coolest moves, awesome roster, awesome arenas…

They didn’t make the cut off in time to be in the base game since Styles debuted before their cut off.

Pretty sure they joined WWE shortly after the roster cutoff date for the game. Hence why they still managed to make it in but only as DLC since they started being worked on later than the rest.
Other than ADR, the Dudleys, and the bullfighters (now Shining Stars), roster is pretty accurate.
Pain is still the best wrestling game everrrrr, for me and my friends.
