Trust me, mr perfect is shit tier specifically because of his finisher. plus his running attack is garbage. i mean, if i’m missing something then fill me in
million dollar man and ultimate warrior are the best. they have the best running attacks. ultimate warrior has his jumping clothesline which has huuuge vertical range (relatively speaking of course). and his regular clothesline does more than fine against rollers. once he can use his jumping clothesline the match is over. wakeup with that shit over and over then pin.
million dollarman is unique in that his two running attacks alternate one after another, they don’t depend at all on your opponent’s stamina. either way, both of them are absolutely awesome against rollers. sucks that he doesn’t have a regular body slam to fuck over guys in royal rumble, but he has the vertical suplex which is AWESOME in getting opponents to your side of the ring. and his sleeper choke is useless against diagonally lying-down guys but is awesome when powered-up obviously. he just fucking rapes LoD like no other. (probably the best in regular matches but the worst in royal rumble because of no body slam)
earthquake is shit tier cuz he’s too slow- worst quad-punching and wakeup in the game (those two things are the two most important things in the game). jake would be (almost) as good as dibiase if only his second running attack wasn’t so bad, but otherwise he’s pretty good. hogan is just a poor man’s warrior but is still solid.
I can easily beat the first loop of the game with dibiase and warrior (sometimes without getting hit once - and it doesn’t require stairs or metal boxes or countouts). but i wouldn’t even try with any other characters. there are cpu patterns that only those two can exploit CONSISTENTLY. what a lot of people don’t realize is that this really isn’t a button-mashing game (even in human matches you’ll notice that one guy will get the advantage in a grapple automatically without a single button pressed)… not if you plan on one-coining it, anyway… I play this game on my laptop keyboard btw.
The Rock was fucking stupid in Smackdown 4. His charisma was so high that he’d ALWAYS have a finisher on deck and one halfway there. His meter filled in big ass chunks.
Brock was broke as fuck but that was to be expected since he was a last minute addition and he was godlike in real life.
Triple H was retarded as well because he had stats similar to the Rock and his finisher was made to fuck your head up all kinds of ways.
I agree with the list but think that inside the ring Earthquake is lower than Perfect, especially due to speed. What saves him is his special where it is more difficult for the opponent to escape. When outside the ring he has the only special where the opponent cant escape. This makes him the best character outside the ring.
In Royal Rumble Animal of Legion of Doom can toss all opponents at once. Easiest way to win with him.
Also Crash of Demolition is much better than Slash, his grappling attributes are a little lower than Warrior and Dibiase.
It is also possible to do the LoD special if you play with a friend.You just need to lift the character near any corner and Hawk will fly to him when you press the kick button. but if you do it wrong, game is stuck till time runs out!
I prefer Boss Man and Jake the Snake most of the time,
He was top tier in Slam Masters 2 Ring of Destruction, dunno about the other 2 games though.

Oh sweet, I only played the first game and apparently he wasn’t as good in that incarnation but then it’s also been forever since i’ve played it(AC)…I really wish for a PSN/360 release for it.
So it went SM1, Muscle Bomber duo, then SM2 ROD? never knew that, but then I finally found out that there was a SM2 late 99’…but again, I’ve only played SM1 in the arcade. Still a fun game that could be due for a revisit…if done right.
Edit: I always thought it was badass that the artist who did the SM series did HNK.
