Nope. Although I did try to convince my wife to let me name one of our daughters Persephone, and with her being Greek I thought she’d go for it, but she said no.
But I do want to say that my three year old thinks Rose is the coolest Superhero ever and that Juri looks “So nice.” It makes me laugh every time I don’t have the heart to tell her Juri is a villian and Rose is in fact not a super hero but when she puts on a scarf and she says she’s Rose and that she’s going to beat up the bad guys… It just gives me too much happiness. (If only Rose wasn’t so garbage tier…)
lol when i met 2 karate students named after full metal characters…it was a wrap on ever considering the idea of callin my kid a video game or anime character.
zelda isnt even that super oddball a name though lol. like zelda the name existed before the video game.
I might name my son Guybrush, but I think Guybrush Greenberg just doesn’t work so well. Maybe I’ll just change my last name to Threepwood. I mean, anything goes with that, right?
Totally going to name my first born son Dudley. I shall teach him about the fine sport of boxing, and dress him in suspenders. English accent is negotiable.
Some of the names in games are fairly normal. Some on the other hand are kind of out there. I would say that I would not name my child intentionally after a video game character that would be kind of silly. You just don’t want to give your a child that is going to get them beat up, and you try to find them a name that won’t get them picked on.
First-born daughter will be named Makoto. She will (most likely) have short black hair. She will learn Karate at a young age and punch little boys her age in the dick. The day that she Seichusan Godanzuki’s me in the balls will be my proudest moment of fatherhood.
Hairstyle with twin ahoges and bang highlights are debatable. Tonfas are debatable. Animal ears (on a hairband) also debatable. Squirrel tail debatable but unlikely. Skimpy battle outfit is a hell no though. Gotta have my daughter keep her dignity after all.
It can work since I’m Asian, albeit one of non-Japanese descent.
EDIT: What is up with Makoto’s and punching people across the room? I mean it’s cool and all but damn…
In Kingdom Hearts he changed it to dissociate himself from the events of his hometown, which in the KH world is Hallow Bastion. Leon comes from the first part of his last name which is Leonheart.
