Worthwhile anime fighting games?

Street Fighter Alpha (it had it’s own anime series for awhile)

If you want to play a Kenshin fighter, you might as well just play Last Blade 2, since half the characters were based off characters from that series anyway.
Moriya and Hiko/Soujiro, Washizuka and Saito, Mukuro and Shishio, Hibiki and Soujiro, Amano is apparently a carbon copy of a minor villain from early on in the comic.

If you’re a JoJo fan though, Capcom did a great job with it. There are tons of obscure references to the comics all over the game and they captured the art style perfectly.

Without having to do anything to your system ? Definitly bleach DS 2nd, they have a nice community and there is usually someone to play online for that game. Jojo’s is really good too if you have a DC (I’m not sure if it came out or PS2 later or not), DBZ is alright for some anime fun alotho the game gets stupid after a while. Naruto fighting games are good, I don’t remember the name, but the Gamecube game that plays like Super Smash Bros, I played it at a friends place once and I’d definitly pay it again if i had a chance.

The GC naruto games play nothing like smash.

I’m gonna tell you right now Kid Buu is not top tier. He’s way too slow to defend himself at close range.

What’s so special about Death Wave? Lots of characters have moves that do the exact same thing.

The majority of fighting games based on popular anime are pretty low-quality. If you still want an anime style then you should stick with the “actual” fighting games like Guilty Gear and there’s some popularity growing around Arcana Hearts but I still find AH unimpressive.

Bleach DS 2nd

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Gundam Seed Destiny (for GBA)

Super Dragonball Z

i would say

JOJO!!!

and Kenichi if you like the series!

Does anyone have an idea of what he’s talking about? It sounds interesting.

The only gamecube games that werent smash but played like it are The one piece grand battle games, and possibly Battle Stadium D.O.N.

Oh yeah and Jump Ultimate Stars is awesome too

Can anyone direct me to where I could find some more info on Battle Stadium D.O.N? It sounds really fun.

P.S. What are these Credits that appeared under my avatar used for? I’m confused.

Most of the info on BSDON is in Japanese so, I’m directing you to play-asia.

On that same note, I rememeber recording stupid matches with my friend in this game, here is one of them. I’m playing Sakura. =D

Wish I could help. But everyone took all the good ones. But ones that need a second mention are Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension, Battle Stadium D.O.N, Jump Super/Ultimate Stars, Budokai 3, Super Dragon Ball Z, Bleach Blade Battlers, Heat the Soul Series, Bleach DS, Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure (Japanese Version),Narutimate Hero/Ultimate Ninja Series, Gekitou Ninja Taisen/Clash of Ninja Series, Hokuto No Ken, Kenichi, Yuu Yuu Hakusho Forever & 120%, Garouden Break Blow, and Gundam Battle Assault 1&2.

A game that deserves a mention is Voltage Fighter: Gowcaizer for the NeoGeo. Not the best game but it is very playable and very enjoyable.

A very anime inspired game that I thought I’d throw was Evil Zone for PS1. Again not the best game but seeing the inspiration by anime was cool. And I enjoyed playing it.

But I will leave it at this though…If you straight hood then repeat after me. I WISH THERE WAS A TENJHO TENGE FIGHTING GAME! I WISH THERE WAS A TENJHO TENGE FIGHTING GAME! I WISH THERE WAS A TENJHO TENGE FIGHTING GAME! If this game existed Bunshichi would be God Tier. And playing as Aya, Maya, and Emi wouldn’t be bad either.

Em Vee See Too.

its not anime based but its close enough.

Yeah, was waiting for someone to say that.

The game is really good, I’m not too sure how it was over-looked.
- some high level play (check out the related vids for more).

Jojo’s is where it’s at.

What platform is Jojo for? Would it be difficult to find?
