I always thought the idea of respecting other requests was the most important,especially with so many separate threads in IMM.Like the situation with corner trap was handled well earlier on i thought.He asked Tat for an av,he came in here asking,we waited it out to see what happened,tat took a break from requests so i set him up.

Even in open “can i get an av” threads people usually wait to see who a confirmation for the 1st response or some such answer before going and posting an av. Since someone could be in photoshop making one as they type.Which could be very possible

So in short this sort of thing irks me the most,I’d rather get a request for a non prem av request of kid buu using gun kata on the 300 spartans at a european rave than have this happen.

Some respect at A VERY BASIC LEVEL ISN’T TOO MUCH TO ASK.Not even as an av maker but as a human being holy fuck.I’m not the best av maker (hell some would say i’m not even good),but this is ridiculous by any standard.All I’m asking is that i don’t get shat on like this.

Well first off, I never meant to disrespect you in any way. I stumbled on this thread and saw the various requests you had and the request by MikeOWNED. I saw you mentioned that you didn’t think it possible to make him an animated avatar like he had requested.
Because I liked his idea, I thought I would give it a go to see if I maybe could.

Now, obviously this forums decorum is such that only the thread starter may post images in request threads and I didn’t cotton on to that… my bad in that respect. * I now realise this… :S a little late unfortunately.

I never made the avatar to show you up or anything… I didn’t think that anyone would take it that way with all the great avatars you display in your thread. Your work is great which is why I’m surprised anyone took notice of the one I made.

In the forums I frequent, it’s no issue. Anyone can post in any request thread really and the person requesting gets to choose which he wants. It’s not done like that here and I now realise this. (This is no excuse really, as rules vary from forum to forum)
I was hoping you’d post you’re static avatar for MikeOWNED and the lad would have a choice.

I could understand if you posted that av in MikeOwned’s other thread,because then at least it’s “oh hey someone took his request in his 1st thread,that’s cool”

Had I found that thread first, there’d have been no issues.

…but when It’s in someone else’s thread…and they took the request…that’s sorta undermining them to a degree. Do you see Tat guy picking up shatta’s avs? or Gumz taking requests in quiche’s thread?

Again, I’m not used to this forums rules (this being my 4th post) but in the Av/sig threads I’m used to, anyone can post their attempts in any thread, which is were the miss-understanding comes in. I now know it’s not done here(too late for you, I’m sure)
At the time I didn’t think of it as undermining your work, because I thought that your work spoke for itself.
I don’t see it as undermining as I never suggested your work was inadequate. After all this drama though, I do see that custom on this board is different and well… the dude now abides.

The thing with this thread is that it could all have been fine, if there were mods around. They could have merged my post and MikeOWNES’s (and the subsequent flames) into his original one and kept this thread somewhat clean and you could have carried on in it.
Too late for that now. I find it somewhat strange too, that for all the people who are backing you up, they decided that rather than try and keep your thread clear and really help, they’d make ingenious comments like “gtfo” to further take your thread ‘off topic’. Sure all those posts really helped your thread no end.

Your work is great and I would have thought that with all the happy customers you have and all the dudes sporting your work, that’d be enough confirmation of your skill.
What I did here, I would liken to showing the soles of your feet in a Muslim country. It makes no harm as such, but is considered rude.
I never disrespected or even hinted at what I though about the quality of your work as such, but by my actions you took offense. I can only apologise for not knowing or better said, not having read (as I’m sure there’s a thread somewhere saying ‘only the thread maker of request threads may post work there-in’) the rules and there-by offending you.

To bring it to a point, I couldn’t give a toss what most of the other people wrote in this thread Drama queens, the lot of them! :wgrin:
What I do care about though is that you check that I really didn’t mean to diss your work in any way dude. You’ve done some sick stuff!
If you take offense to my action of posting in your thread, that’s fine I take all the blame etc. care factor: zero tbh.

But know that I think your work is top and if you really thought that I was trying to diss your work, then that I do apologise for. There’s no reason I would disrespect good work on purpose.

The whole av makers posting avs in their thread is an unspoken rule really,i’m not sure this situation has even come up before.

But im glad you handled this so maturely as i feel like an ass lol. I don’t like dealing with too many confrontations either.
