IIRC, Daimon was undisputed number 2 to Duo Lon, thanks to easy meaty grabs. After that, it actually got quite a bit more balanced.
Tizoc was nowhere near top tier though…
i say svc chaos was the worst. shin mr karate was one of the many reasons i hated that game
MVC2 is the only reason I have to step into an arcade anymore, and is the only reason why I go to one about 4 times a week. Marvel and 3rd strike are the only games that get any arcade love where I live.
Random Mexican people play some KOF, but no one else. I hear KOF is all they have in Mexico.
Mostly all Latin America plays KOF, here in my country the scene is massive, so is more bigger than you think, also China and Japan plays KOF and is still one of the most played fighting games ever.
Not for me…I just don’t like it…plus that’s all people play around here anyways…gets old FAST.

Yeah thats right…KOF is pretty much the most played fighting game around the world…that includes Asia and Latin America…and many parts of Europe like Turkey etc…
Street Fighter/CAPCOM by sheer numbers can’t hold a candle to it seriously.
Also KOF isnt all they have in Mexico…why dont you ask someone that’s actually been there (like me) instead of making false accusations? 
They have all the shit you all got here (MVC2, 3s, ST, all those arcades, MK, all that shit, Guilty Gear, Tekken)…so stop riding America’s cock like we are better than they are and start getting educated!!!

kof is played in mexico a lot, but is not the most played, and in central america is defently dead, here we play mahvel, GG, 3s, sc and tekken, in south america is pro evolution and fifa, maybe in chile is different, but still yo cant generalize about it how it does kof because the rummors

damn, i used to love owning people during my vacations in turkey, at least with KOF 97 & 98 (if they had a RB game i would have been in trouble). back then i never played SF3 competitively. hence i was getting beaten by using old sfa tactics on NG and SI.

Let’s just say we’ll see the real amount of regard 3S has by Evo 2k9 when it’s no longer the only SF game in town. I really think that is a large portion of its popularity. Really and truly, for both Capcom and SNK, more of their games were bad then good- they’ve released plenty of stinkers each over the years. The only game series that’s consistently improved itself from game to game is Virtua Fighter, and 4 to 5 wasn’t a big improvement- more of a lateral move.
As for Brentobox- I think he meant 2k2, not the other KOFs. 2k2 was only really embraced in countries where piracy is rampant. The other countries preferred 98.

That’s a valid argument. In many arcades its the only game that people really play. Its popularity is so great, in fact, that most people are unwilling to give newer games a chance. Which is the problem.
No, he’s saying that Latin America in which piracy is rampant don’t have access to newer games like in East Asia where despite piracy, arcades still could afford new machines.
By the time KOF 2002 came out, the newer Capcom games were on Naomi. Plus SNK then soon switched to Atomiswave. Not to mention the GG games on Naomi, Tekken 4, VF4, Soul Calibur 2. All of these systems which weren’t available on emulators at the time.
Therefore places like Japan, China, etc. left KOF 2002 in trashheap where it belongs and went on to other things.
I can’t believe Third Strike would be on any worst list! And Pocket Fighter? That can’t even really be considered a fighter, but it’s fun.

For SNK, there were quite a few but SvC was pretty bad along with a bunch of the earlier titles that I can’t remember their names because they were so generic.

Then that’s my pick…people honestly don’t know what bad games are if the worst here are CFJ and SVC.
