Worst snk and/or capcom games?

hahahahah

“deepness”

“self-aware”

“develop a more complex offense”

ahahahahahaha oh wow

there’s another game that has all three of these

anyone else laughing out loud as they read this thread

Definitely got a point there Dark Geese…

When I was back at home in VA, all everyone played was 3S and that shit was getting on my nerves too. There are way too many fighting games (good ones too) that are out nowadays that arent getting the recognition they deserve. I bought KOFXI when I was down in VA and everyone was acting funny when they seen what I was playing, like “whats this crap? put in 3S!”…I hate that so much. Not only have I’ve been playing a lot of SNK fighters lately, but also Arcana Heart (just because its an all girl cast don’t mean its lame you should try it out), and I just tried out this other fighting game called “Melty Blood” which I’m also really getting into now (that game needs to come out on a system already jeez!)

But come on people broaden your minds a bit and play something else for a change…hahah but then again if someone started playing something else and everyone else jumped on it, it’d probably be another bandwagon effect…oh well I tried:lol:

But I get your point though I was just kinda putting it in my own words

Good to see more people see what I am talking about…like I say going to Majors was an eye opener to me…because before my first one I thought everyone was like where I lived…which got on my fucking nerves…but I saw the OPPOSITE…all the big name players that the people at home look up to PLAY MORE THAN ONE GAME…HELL THEY PLAY MORE THAN TWO…

-Dark Geese

It’s on the PC. Region Free FTW!

I’ve been getting into to with Re-Act. Even though it isn’t the latest version I’m having a blast with the game. I’m amazed this game doesn’t get more talks, but then again no official US release.

Dude in the highest level of gameplay, parrying is not all about option selects. If you think it is, you’re just lying to yourself. Option select alone can only get you so far.

I didn’t say there aren’t any games that had this, which is why I was careful in my wording. I said 3S has more emphasis on this than other fighting games do.

Only problem with JD is that there is no reason not to try to JD in every situation since if you do it too early, you’ll just block. There’s no risk in it, unless the opponent doesn’t attack and throws you instead. With parries, you cannot option select in all situations like you can in Garou.

I’d say the game that fits this description is GG, but you’re probably thinking ST.

There are two distinct complaints about parries; what they do to zoning and how much yomi they mandate. Some games have more zoning than others, whether you like zoning-heavy ST or not is a matter of preference. Same goes for guessing games. ST is more of a strategy game, whereas 3S is more about reading your opponent. I prefer games that are more ST-style, but that’s because I’m a strategy gamer.

The difference: in ST, even if you know exactly what your opponent will do, you need a solution. In 3S, that knowledge IS the solution.

I’d agree with you in saying that description fits either GG or ST perfectly well.

basically that description fits all the good fg in the market like gg, 3s, trf, tekken and sc, more gg imo, because you cant be too offensive in 3s

I like svc :3

you can’t be too strategic either

Yeah I found out yesterday that it was on PC just had to figure out if it works on the US PC as well; and I found out that it does so I’ma end up getting it sometime this week fo 'sho! That game is nasty good!

I wish games like this would get more talks as well (as well as Arcana Heart) but like I said before, pepople are so damn close minded that will probably never happen…sigh…

i’m all about the combos now-a-days

It has gotten fairly stupid

People are close minded…people know I am more than willing to give any game a try and enter any tournament…though I still have my preferences…I’ll still enter whatever if I can get someone to help me w/ my SNk games lol.

You’re obviously basing the game on its own merit. If you read through the thread, you’ll realize that you’re wrong for doing so. Sure, there are numerous SNK games that look and play much worse than SvC Chaos, but we never had high expectations for them. So, it’s the worst SNK game. Boot up Art of Fighting. It’s clearly the superior game.

See, that’s like how Howard the Duck is the worst movie of all time. It’s the popular opinion, so you really ought to roll with it. Have you seen worse movies? Without question. But ask yourself, were they as notorious? As critically panned? No.

I think what you’re doing is looking at the game for what it is and saying, “Okay. This isn’t bad.” Look at Street Fighter (the original). Terrible game…But wait, it spawned an amazing sequel. So, it’s actually one of the best games ever. No one was let down by Street Fighter. It didn’t have a name to live up to. So, while it is terrible, it cannot and should not be called bad.

I like Snk vs Capcom, too. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I still call bullshit on calling it SNK’s worst. Big-time.

What about Megaman Power Fighters?

I have no idea what you are talking about. Just look at EVO and all the 2D fighters from different companies and how new they are. The fighting scene is always open minded.

Compared to most gamers, I have played, very, very VERY few games. I stick with those that I know I like. So I can’t really form an opinion on this.

the biggest effect parry has on the game is the huge amount of tactics it renders inviable and most of that is because of OS

COUM you have made your case is every fucking anti-3s thread made.

What you say may be somewhat valid but you are seriously talking to deaf ears.

This fucking debate will never fucking end and it is practically becoming a name calling affair from both sides.
