My bad, I wasn’t online yesterday, I checked the thread too early … :xeye:
is it me or is europe not taking this too seriously like the america is?
GET DEDICATED PEOPLE!
so How do I get in this?
Just buy an XBOX360…
Due to a lack of participation, I am going to close this season in Europe. While we had a large response of people who said they would play, the number of drops in this league has been astronomical with less than 50% attendance per week. In light of this, WWL Europe activities are closed until our next season which has a start time yet to be determined but will likely be in 2-3 weeks. Thank you everyone who participated. If you would like to participate in this league next season, please reply to the thread with your timezone so that you can be registered. Thank you.
Was to be expected. Good stuff though man.
lol what?
:looney:
I’ll participate!
me too
I wish I could join this, HDR EU players are the friendliest I’ve encountered (minus PSYKUP).
SMQ91 is a dick too.
So it seems due to recent events i have a lot more time on my hands.
I’d love to participate on the next go around.

I’ll participate to
Ok this is gutting. I’d heard of this from the start but I was never free on those nights, so I have just re-arranged some of my social life so I could actually participate in this… and only now I find out it’s been cancelled. WTF Euro players…! I can’t believe people would be rude enough to sign up but not even say they can’t show up.
At least I see I know most of those who were playing.
Anyway, I’m extremely interested if this kicks off again, and you better believe I’ll show up. It’s a lot easier than getting across the country for tournaments

Bio: Street Fighter 2 player since WW in the arcade and on the SNES, I even played SF1 in the arcade with the pressure buttons as a kid. Never having regular access to a local arcade scene, HDR has finally let me play against the competition I’ve always wanted since I was a young teenager! I also play a lot of other games, and write articles about videogaming at http://agoners.wordpress.com where I often cover fighting games. I am a huge fan of SSF2T HDR and consider it the best Vs Fighting game yet made, clearly better than VST. Even it could be improved though. Like others, my dream fighting game would be a fully remade Street Fighter 2 version 2.
Main: DeeJay (Guile in older SF2 games). I can play all SF2 characters with some level of competence, but I can generally only play charge characters with anything approaching decent.
Playstyle: Pretty average until, it seems, unless under the spotlight in an offline tournament with a crowd watching. I seem to do my best when both players are under pressure & probably making mistakes and playing badly. I’ll play under any conditions if I have to, but I detest input lag & generally do my best with smoothing switched off completely. I’ve been told I’m pretty good at rapid throws and throw escapes - I’ve even been accused of using turbo because of this.
Hehe, both SMQ and PSYKUP have tried to irritate me, but they didn’t succeed. They are both pretty good so I like to play them anyway.
I think SMQ’s chilled out since he met me and a bunch of others in a real-life tournament (Super Vs Battle in London earlier this year).
In fact I hope every online player gets a chance to play some people face to face sometime… makes people realise how useless their e-peens really are.
