It counts as a crossover to me. I actually havent read the main Annihalation series yet. Only the Surfer mini.

Heard good things about it though. I was talking about stuff like Maximum Security, House of M, Decimation, Avengers Dissasembled.

If Annihalation is good, Iā€™ll retract the statement.

Anyone seen the new Hulkbuster armor? Looks less then stellar to me.

Romita wasnt nearly as good as he usually is with his Fallen Son issue.

Yeah that Hulkbuster armor was giving me Exo-Squad flashbacks, which isnā€™t good. It just doesnā€™t feel very "Iron Man"ish either.

Thatā€™s interesting, although I love the art, why is he fighting the Classic X-Men cast? The entire team being assembled in those outfitā€™s are late 70ā€™s- early 80ā€™s X-Men? Are you sure this is a new story and not a reprint of something long ago?

Those are all current X-Men in current outfits just about give or take an artistā€™s interpretation - see yellow on Cyclopsā€™ suit and Rogueā€™s outfit - and yes itā€™s a new issue, a 2007 August solicit.

I just donā€™t know if the drawings a shout out AKA a rip off of an older drawing / comic the way Marvel annoyingly likes to doā€¦ :annoy:

iā€™m a little lost as to why anyone would think that thing would hold a candle to hulk. i mean iā€™ve read the comics where they brawled beforeā€¦ but hulk owns thing for free at least from onslaught on. Am i missing something?

Yeah Hulk owns Thing for free. Hulk beat him up before. Wolverine beat up Thing too and scared his face for a while with three slashes. Thing sucks fighting against bigtime Marvel heroesā€¦ maybe Black Panther will hook him up with Wakanda steroids or somethingā€¦

Sounds like another lame storyline from Marvel, kinda like the Civil War thing. No wonder I havent read comics in about 5 years.

I guess I should have not quite said havent read any, I have read some and the ones I read I didnt care for. I was all about the Civil War thing when I heard about it, then I read it for awhile and put that shit down.

Marvel is just running out of ideas plain and simple. I would rather go read the Stryfe saga over again(although I liked that particular storyline.)

IMO anytime apocolypse is a main character in a storyline itā€™s going to be entertaining. Heā€™s all about pushing the strongest mutants to there limits.

which is why Age of apocolypse Is my favorite storyline. Onslaught is up there as one of my favorite crossoversā€¦ simply cause at long last we got to see what Jean was talking about in the ā€œsupposed Xmenā€™s last transmissionā€
