I just finished reading all of Civil War and of course it was awesome. I wanted to start on World War Hulk but I don’t know if there is anything in between these two events that I need to read first. Can anyone fill me in on what other arcs are there post-cw and pre-wwh?

Captain America(this series mainly follows up on the Winter Soldier waging war on Tony Stark and trying to find out who peaced out Captain America)

Realistically, you dont NEED to read anything to fill in the gaps, BUT if you want some reading, all of the Iniative stuff is a good place to go:

New Avengers 28-32 (not sure on the numbers there)
Obviously, the last year and a half of the Incredible Hulk are a help.

amadeaus cho is becomming one of my favorite characters. I hope after world war hulk is over he’ll be a kickass villain. … or hero… or some combination of.
I assume Hulk would fight Black Adam rather than team up with him. Interesting match-up. Hulk doesn’t have the vulnerability to magic that Superman is plagued with, so Black Adam would be forced to rely on brute strength against Hulk…not a wise move in most cases. However, BA has super-speed and Hulk does not, meaning Adam could lay a holy beating on Hulk before (I assume) Hulk got mad enough to demolish BA.
Could Adam score a KO before Hulk became too much to handle?

I’d agree with your guess, but despite not being a superspeeder, the Hulk can move pretty fast and in his current incarnation, it’d probably be somewhere around 6/10 because the Hulk would be like something Black Adam has never faced before.

this doesn’t make any sense. Hulk is no more impervious to magic than superman is. It fuckes them both up if they get hit with it.
Superman is weak to magic.
Hulk is magically aware in a minimum capacity.

its not a weakness. Its just that it can hurt him like it hurts any other person. Its not like he is more susceptible to it than any other superhero who isnt magically resistant.
When you can’t get killed by flying into the sun, and then something can hurt you like any normal person, that means it’s a weakness.

No man its not a weakness. Just because its one of the few ways to hurt him its not a weakness it handles everyone else the same way. Thats like saying I have a weakness to bullets.
Kryptonite is superman’s weakness. Manhunter used to have a weakness to fire(being frightened and all) color yellow/green lanterns etc.

Don’t know if this has been pointed out yet, but about WWH3: When Strange went into Bruce’s Mindscape, it was alarmingly empty.
Now if you’ve been reading since Peter David or played Ultimate Destruction, you know that along with all of the multiple versions of the Hulks that are facets of his psyche( Mr. Fixit, The Professor, etc.) There’s a huge fucker named Devil Hulk that should never be released. Where WAS he? Did the writers forget about the multiple Hulks, or is Devil the true face of this current Hulk?
Been waiting on wizarduniverse.com’s updates, since I don’t want to buy any of them until they’re all released in a compilation.
Re: Superman and magic: it may be a relative weakness, but magic has no greater effect on Superman than it has on, say, Batman. Superman’s ridiculous imperviousness simply doesn’t apply to magic. While that is no doubt an advantage for any villain who wields or has some access to magic, just having magic doesn’t win them the fight. They have to hit Superman with it (tough for a guy who has super-speed and can fly) and they have to ensure the effect is strong enough to kill and incapacitate him (tough for a guy who is energized by a yellow sun and demonstrates a superhuman ability to recover from injury). Magic isn’t a weakness. It’s simply something Superman can’t just shrug off or ignore. Unlike kryptonite, it doesn’t automagically make him lose a fight.
