it says somewhere that you can re-dizzy after d.HP, d.HP, 2HP, this is not possible on the arcade version, only on ps2 practice mode.
on ps2, 1-hit guard as well as guard in practice mode is bugged, as usual in SNK games. totally unreliable. you hit a char with brocken’s j.ABC, land behind him, then meaty him - he will not block. also, if you do: instant j.MP, link j.4ABC (whiffs), j.6MK on a crouching opponent, he will get hit from both the j.MP and the bomb that falls on his head (which he should block).
UPDATE: knockdown, j.ABC, LK bomb, land, attack is an unblockable when the LK or any other attack hits at the same time as the bomb. your opponent can hold any direction, left, right, downback, downforward, he gets hit. however, if you are too close to your opponent, he can reversal throw you.

oh, and on a side note: brockens AA is HK, or some jumping normals (jump away from or into the direction of your opponent). 2,6,3P sucks imo, too slow.
Nice find on the unblockable, wondered if it was possible from the start. Is that the only setup for it in terms of spacing? You can dp the shit out of torpedo naked.
236P is alright against slow or large characters (J.Max lol) and it has a phatty hitbox. If I remember you can do it against stuff like run in cr.mk and at least trade, which is good for brocken since it’s a knockdown. I am sure it beat J.Max jump in options and headcrush though. Shame Brocken still does shit damage but I haven’t played in a hot minute so I don’t know.
as for your question, whenever i try j.ABC + bomb when the opponent isn’t knocked down, i keep eating throws.
an ok but somewhat dangerous setup is:
instant j.MP, link j.ABC, bomb, /, combo. only works against crouching - the j.ABC is meant to whiff, then they have to block or get hit by the bomb (not the explosion). to land this, confusion is key, i suggest doing it in an okizeme situation where they are under pressure already. also,m you can combo j.MP into j.2ABC against crouching chars - if you try to do it after j.ABC, bomb okizeme, make sure to wait a moment before you do the j.MP, or they won’t get hit by j.2ABC
also, it’s true, his damage sucks. you really have to make as few mistakes as possible with him.
on a side note, the cancel window for j.ABC after hit is slightly different on hit or on block - it is exactly at the end of the hit/block stop. i’ll play around later with frame by frame recording to find out the time window, although knowing it will only really help us psychologically i guess.
the reason i bring this up is the [2MK, j.ABC, ABC, /,] blockstring that haramori uses in those mikado vids. if you the cancel up, you die =(
EDIT: just found out, the timing isn’t even strict, you just have to link the j.ABC cancel. it has to be AFTER the hit stop, at any time.
you can wakeup ABC muscle power’s splash, it seems like the guardpoint on brocken’s head is active on the first frame. will net you a knockdown and enough time for messerschmidt attack okizeme (yeah i looked it up, j.ABC is really called messerschmidt attack, wtf)
My brocken was getting really sick when Josh and I were in our prime. Ask him. But the fact is that you cant even set up his unblockable super reliably because even when cornered, your opponent can backdash out. Air ABC bomb unblockables are extremely unreliable as well.
I still put him as like 3rd or 4th worst in the game.
i don’t find the unblockables to be unreliable, but yeah, his damage sucks, if your opp has a certain life lead and a certain amount of time passed, you can’t catch up anymore, hopeless.
Are you playing against anyone good? Because you can’t just get a knockdown to set up an unblockable with any character in WHP. Backdash invincibility is not something training dummies or weak players will use on you, but FunkDoc and I will. Trust me, his unblockables are very unreliable.
i’m not saying you can’t escape the unblockables, i even said in the description of the vid that you can simply reversal throw. i’m just saying its reliable to set up.
Wow Brocken is a lot more aggressive than I gave him credit for, just played a keep away style Dhalsim game with him, time to get some more practice in.

I really like the first one (yeah i know, the stun combos are really easy and “stupid” (Brocken is an example) but i like its feeling :shy:
I never played against a human beings (only CPU and practice) and i will try it with my bro this weekend.
Since i couldnt find a topic for the first game of the series i though this one could be a good place to start.

About WH Perfect… i tried it only on practice and … hell… i like Ryoko, Dragon and Muscle Power. I found some video on youtube about combos, but quite hard for me ( :xeye: ).
Since on the ps2 the bosses are already unlocked (Neo Dio and Son Gok?), are they banned during matches?

^ Heh, that was me. I’ll be glad to play anytime although I barely got in the first time because of the ping limit, haha. I think we started to get lag because multiple people use the connection in the house here, two in particular which like to treat the comp as a television and stream shit all day…

Also while I’m here…problem I’ve had with this for awhile - apparently for charge moves the db charge does not work for vertical executed moves. In this case, I use Jane, I can store for fireballs and justice sword fine but charging that way does not allow me to use her flip special. Pretty positive this is an SNK thing, because Guile has the same problem in SvC Chaos (you can store for Final Gambit/Sonic booms but not flash kick). Obviously this kinda sucks since you can’t block while just holding down. I hate that.
