You have to play U1 against e-honda it takes away all his head butts
I am aware of that but with me using a pad and ultra 1 being on a kick button I have a difficulty timing it to reversal his headbutts. Those damn trigger buttons. lol. I just try to predict headbutts by neutral jumping and punishing with ex mgb when I land.
Ultra 1 vs Honda punishes neutral jumps mainly.
I knew that it punishes headbutts but I had no idea it punishes Honda’s neutral jump.
I’ma have to test that out in training mode, sounds somewhat risky to do though.
it is. better off using (ex) duck upper for those.
you can U2 vs honda but it requires your main game to be on point and you’d have to learn how to fight headbutts the hard way. vs honda is pretty much the same as fighting bison except 10 times harder cause honda has more options and damage.
I don’t think I show cased it in the video but I do often use ex duck upper to punish those neutral jumps, but most of the time I’m try to just use mk/hk duck upper, and which doesn’t always necessarily work in dud’s favor. Risky but much less expensive. lol. But ever since I found some new tech vs honda (well newish for me) particularly just that meaty kidney blow and cr lk beat out his reversals on wakeup (I.E. you are given time to block afterwards) and that you can neutral jump ex headbutt to punish headbutt on the other side with ex mgb on his wakeup and when you are at frame advantage (need more testing on that but in my match experience it seems true) Honda is not as scary as a matchup as it used to be. and ever since you posted that Bipson info about standing during scissor kick pressure he’s also not as much as a threat as before.
imo, dud needs meter to fight honda cause his ex moves shut down or punishes a lot of honda’s most used tools. i try to save 1 bar at all times.
Yeah that makes sense, I tend to like spending the meter to push him to the corner with Ex MGB too because Honda is much less efficient in the corner. With EX headbutt being punishable by U2 on block and being able to shutout butt splash with focus attack crumple on his way down. and all.
In the Honda matchup I have a terrible habit of releasing my focus attack too early against the second hit of buttsplash thus giving him a free counter hit. Ah that just gets so annoying, lol and it happens in the match too.
f.MK will lose to EX Headbutt it can only be used vs 11+ frame reversals when done the meatiest.
in upcoming tut i show and explain OSs with f.MK and cross counter.
you can do a f.MK blockstring into s.LK MK OS’d with f.MK or f.MK OS’d with cross counter / lp jet upper to beat hi sbackdash/buttslam
U1 punishes all jump backs / nuetral jumps if they empty jump it’s waaaaaaaaaaay harder to punish the jump but if they do a normal the trip guard thing allows more room for error.
I’m releasing a lv 1 extras just on Duck Upper since i left it out (it was gonna be in bs and pressure but that made no sense) It was in the Swarmer AE tut way back when.
lmao ex empty duck > ultra 2 anti air
And I assume that that same OS you mentioned can be applied to wake up to beat buttsplash too correct? I generally always use fierce jet upper for my kidney blow option selects except for the characters that it whiffs on.
will it cover ex buttsplash also though? Oh my mistake, it is Cr lk that beats out 8 frame reversals. I assumed kidney blow worked on those too for some reason.
someone pls critique?

Some offline casual of my scrubby Dudley (as well as the other players).
In the video page you can see the time for each match-up.
I would even appreciate Mellow calling me worst Dudley europe or something.

Hey guys, what you guys think about that matchs? I would like to hear some tips on what work on.
Fist, get into habit of uploading videos you feel you played well but still lost instead of your wins.
Second, Tut.
- I would say your blockstrings are weak, but you don’t really have those.
- Can’t tell much about how you move around (i.e. footsies) but something felt wrong.
- Links, combos, etc…
- Sim should have zoned you more with his limbs, and it probably would have stuffed all you reckless mgb and jumps. (cr.mk is a good idea though)
I’m just scrub so don’t listen to me.
tut
Thanks for your reply!
Well, about my blockstrings that was due to some laggy, especially with DJ. But you’re right, i have to work on this. About footsies i think i rely on f.hp / st.hp and focus too much, its hard to use cr.mk and cr.mp cause of its low reach. And yeah, my link are not reliable yet, i missed too much. Also missed some mgb inputs on the Sim one.

(sorry about my bad english and thanks for the advices!)
learn what you can punish.
you backdash when someone lands a move that’s more than -5 on block, could at least do a HP Jet Upper if you cant s.HK punish.
Turivol- Simply put, you have zero pressure. Work on block strings, punishes, and the right combos. Don’t always go for sweep, work on your oki. Also study TUT again
I seem to suffer from a lot of the same issues as Turivol.

Things I recognize:
-No overheads on Oki
-poor focus attack usage
-no safe jumps (I don’t really know any setups)
-input error on ultra at end of round 1(not exactly sure if it would’ve AA’d but saw the setup coming)
-backed off on Oki (living in the 1000-2000pp ghetto where players use invincible reversals 70% of the time on wake up got me scurred)
-non stop jumping
I honestly have terrible matchup knowledge and my attitude/playstyle makes it really hard to play against defensive characters/players.
PLZ HELP.

This video is helpful, there a couple things that I wondered about with the cody dudley match up. I’ll apply some of what I saw at Mind Games Ignition in January.
