what… marvel has another black hole of movie that could top the awesomness of the fanastic four?
A trailer for this is supposed to show at the beginning of Keanu’s movie Dec 12. Can anyone who sees it, remember to tell us if its the stuff we already saw at Comic Con 2007 or if its newer footage?
I like this Sabretooth more than the last, yet he still looks like shit to me. This movie is not looking exciting to me. I will go see it, but with the only intentions being to motivate me to read more wolverine comics. I think X2 was the best so far, i doubt this would be that much greater.
Wolverine Origin next-gen game

We have an amazing team with Raven Studios at the helm, creating what will undoubtedly be the quintessential, true-to-character Wolverine video game experience that fans have been craving, said Rob Kostich, vice president, global brand management, Activision Publishing, Inc. X-Men Origins: Wolverine amps up the action by bringing to life Wolverines wholly unique skills such as his brute strength, regenerative mutant abilities, and indestructible adamantium claws and skeleton in an immersive experience that is fitting to one of the most enduring and popular characters of all time.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an epic action-adventure featuring a true-to-character Wolverine gameplay experience that takes gamers through and beyond the movies storyline. Set in a variety of vivid real-world locales, the title challenges players to hone their animal instinct as they uncover hidden dangers, hunt and destroy enemies, and take on seemingly insurmountable situations while discovering the truth about Wolverines tragic past. With razor-sharp adamantium claws unsheathed, the future X-Man enacts lightning-quick combat, evasive maneuvers, in-depth combo attacks, and an array of brutal finishing moves. Wolverine doesnt just deliver massive damage, either he also takes it, thanks to his mutant regenerative power that heals him in real time right before the players eyes.

Those were OK, but…REPETITIVE!
Yeah same thing here, my reasoning about worrying about this game.
A blogger wrote about his first experience with the upcoming Wolverine trailer
I’m finally excited about the Wolverine movie. Sorry- the trailer isn’t out yet but the vid guys were mastering it today so I maaay have snuck a look. It looks rather epic - not a cheap spin-off that I was anticipating. The tone is QUITE serious and there is gratuitous slow-motion everywhere. Gambit also looks MUCH better in action than the first pic suggested (the “charge effect” is a little hokey though, but I didn’t get the time to really look at it). Characters like The Blob and all of (what I assume to be) Alpha Flight look as realistic as they could be- no crazy costumes or stupid X-Men 3 shit. In fact this movie looks to kick the shit out of X-men 3 and drag it through broken glass. Hopefully…
I think the sentiment is that all of them were “wolverine” movies. I’ve heard a bunch of people say that.
I actually liked those games. Maybe this game will be decent? I haven’t had a chance to play a good Wolverine game since Super Nintendo. I hope this one is as good as the Spider Man ones.
this movie needs way more deadpool
It would be cool if Deadpool was a playable character in the videogame. <3
i hope he is refering to the new trailer we’re gunna get with keanu on dec 12
He is refering to the new trailer.
Here’s a another opinion on the new trailer
Sadly, that was not the trailer I saw the morning and the trailer you’ll be seeing if you choose to see “The Day The Earth Stood Still”. I didn’t take any notes so I’m doing my best to recall from memory but the general sense of the trailer is, “WOLVERINE IS THE MOST EPIC MAN WHO EVER LIVED. EVER.” There’s choir music in the backgrounds, shots of Wolverine storming the beaches at Normandy and then cutting to him holding the woman he loves as she dies in his arms and I’m thinking?isn’t Wolverine supposed to be fun? It’s that line between bad-ass and emo soul. Both have darkness but only one is a man about it (hint: it’s not the one who listens to A Simple Plan).
The action in the trailer looks ridiculous, with one scene in particular that had me laughing and then crying. Did you know Wolverine can fly? He can in “X-Men Origins” as he launches about thirty feet in the air and lands on top of a helicopter but thankfully in that sweet spot between the cockpit and the blades.
The trailer also takes the time to give you brief glimpses of the other mutants involved in the Weapon X project but other than Wolverine, no mutant gets as much attention as Gambit. It was almost as if to say, “Stop! Hey fanboys! Look! It’s Gambit! Finally!” It’s strange because while I like Taylor Kitsch, I would say that Gambit has as much fanboy recognition as Deadpool but if you stop the trailer to point out Deadpool, non-fanboy audience members are going to recognize Ryan Reynolds.
At least this new trailer lines up with the crushing disappointment I’m hearing the film is going to be anyway. You can decide for yourself once it hits online (whenever that may be) or if you see “The Day The Earth Stood Still” this weekend (which is bad but not quite as bad as the trailer for “Wolverine”).
Looks like Wade will be wearing the merc costume.
you gotta hate informative opposite reviews.
Yay - 1
Nay - 1

Empire Magazine visited X-men Origins: Wolverine sets and watched the filming of a action-scene in third act where Wolverine invades Stryker’s base to release a crowd of young imprisionated mutants. Among them, there’s Scott Summers (With bandages covering his eyes, reason why he did not reconized Wolverine when they meet again years later), Emma Frost (Who uses her power to transform in to diamond, as seen in the Comic-Con trailer), among other. With the movie being set 20 years before X-men, they’re still teenagers when it happens (I’d bet that it was because of this that Professor X found Scott. It would give a interesting movie, don’t’acha think?).

uhhhh i see we’re reworking history again since emma doesnt go diamond til everyone starrts evolving n shit…and wtf would scott be in a prison camp for. that dude was in foster homes til he starts eye blasting shit…then directly goes to xavier.
its prolly true, since its nothing great and doesnt suprise me theyd do that
The evolving shit isn’t part of the movie story line. Same goes for the first and second movie too. None of it is part of the comic book canon. I thought we all knew that.
Oh. so you mean there was never a X-Men movie before then? :wonder:
