My favourite part of the episode was when Nightcrawler got knocked back, then he teleported and used the momentum to hit Spiral.
I have a feeling that the Hulk episode coming up won’t be as impactful since that Hulk vs. Wolverine cartoon won’t be out for awhile.
I like ep 6 as well. I too don’t read the comics, but am glad Nightcrawler is doing so well. To me, he has an average power but he uses it well to make it very dangerous.
Nightcrawler too good in this episode.
Was anybody else reminded of Soul Reaver, seeing Kurt in his covert ops outfit?
Yes haha. Nightcrawler was too bad ass in this episode, was dope seeing Spiral and Mojo too.
I never watched X-Men Evolution but for anybody who has how does this series so far stack up against it to this point?
I hear X-Men: Evo improved as it went along, but so far this show smokes it for free in my opinion.
I watched X-men:evo a little. It was pretty bad. It was basically like something the (now defunct?) WB would have made but in cartoon form with alleged super powers. Basically think Heroes crossed with Dawson’s Creek in cartoon form, and that’s X-men:Evo. Apparently they have no idea who their target audience was supposed to be.
Yeah it seemed later on that the show FINALLY started to get good once Apocalypse came around.
I’m hoping this show can top the X-men animated series since it has alot of comic material to work with.
Well…new stories are always interesting, but:
1: Character design is kinda simple and a little too cartoony (Logan’s messed-up proportions)
2: Nightcrawler had better teleporting effects in EVO (and in EVO, people complained about the smell…the scene with him stealing the bedding should’ve been good for at least a fart joke, with all the 'porting he did in the crew quarters.)…so far, that’s all. I hope they don’t fuck up Sabretooth. I liked both his EVO and regular X-Men styles.
Okay this is a Sabretooth question:
In the 90’s X-men show, i remember he had claws but then I saw the episode dealing with Weapon X and he takes off some gloves that i assumed were his legit claws.
So what i’m saying is, did his mutation include claws or just feral instincts and looks?
Feralness…feralicity…whatever, which included claws. I haven’t really kept up with the comics for years, but he did get some modifications from the new Weapon X program, so maybe the stuff in X-Men Evo was an offshoot of that idea?
To be fair, they were on a refugee barge at sea, filled with shady characters. If the worst thing they could smell was sulfur, they should consider themselves to be lucky.
I think it’s better. I recommend it to anyone who liked Evo, and indeed the 90’s cartoon.
This show really surprised me, im normally very skeptical of new animated series but this one caught my attention fairly quickly. It’s like a hybrid between evo/90’s X-men…and IMO the latter seasons of evo were not that bad. With the exception of some powerset/story errors and "tom green"forge, this series has great potential.
His claws are part of his mutation. He later on replaces his claws with Adamantium ones IIRC.
That fight with Spiral was okay…but both have the ability to effortlessly teleport. If they’d based the fight around that instead of having Spiral getting psyched out time and time again like a rookie, that scene would’ve been absolutely awesome. A Dancing Swords barrier somewhere in there would have been tight, too.
Is number seven coming out this week ?
Been wondering about that too since i’ve only seen the Spanish episode torrents from Episode 7-9 on demonoid so far today.
I just saw the "Hulk"episode, it was good. The old school team up agaisnt wendigo was nice, they are really making a attempt to stay true to some of the original story arcs.
^Was it in english?
