No worries, I’ve sent Valve a quick message and they’ll hopefully get back to me. I’ll let you know what their response is. Thanks!
Hey @PurplePonyArcade, Valve just got back to me. They asked if you could try using another browser to see if the issue still persists, but to be sure to disable add-ons or extensions.
Do let me know what comes of this so I can report back to the Valve overlords.
Never used a browser, Steam itself.
Never used a browser, Steam itself.
I’ve let them know of the issue a few days ago and they’ve been quiet. I’ll check back with them soon. If anything for now, I think you’ll be able to reach the Community Hub or Discussions using a browser.
Good news! We’re all set: Wishmere is slated to be released on September 26 (PC, Mac and Linux)!
Check out the trailer!

The full version we’re going to release is quite different from the latest version on Early Access; down to new system mechanics (adding new moves, making jumps more viable, buffing anti-airs, fixing strikeboxes to be deterministic… just to name a few). We also put together a wiki that’s got frame data, movelist breakdowns and other tasty information.
If you’re interested, you can pick it up from our Steam store or Humble store. There’s also the free demo you can try out first.
As always, do let me know if you’ve got any feedback.
Wishmere has fully released! For a 2-man team working 2 years and 2 months on this game, it’s finally out. Wishmere was a passion project for us, an exploration of the fighting game genre and many fighting games that came before us and a way to deal with a family tragedy. It’s nice to see it all complete.
My teammate and I recently played a 3 hour long session of the game. You can check out the 4 matches we chose out of the session, or you can check out the highlights below:

We’ve worked on an official wikitoo, which includes frame data & moveset breakdowns, so do check that out if you’re interested. As always, do let me know if you’ve got any questions.
And finally, thanks very much for allowing me to have a platform to talk about the game. It’s been a real pleasure. : )
For a two man team, this is an excellent project. Well done.
Thanks a lot @Korbidon . I appreciate it!
Just a quick note about playing online: with Parsec, now Wishmere can be played online! It’s not quite like playing in matchmaking, since you’ll have to manually add a friend and share your screen with them and play, but it is better than nothing. Check it out!
We’ve also recently put together a quick combo video to show the range and types of combos in Wishmere. Most of these use up all / most of a character’s resources, so they’re a little costly.
One other thing we’ve done is a graphical character primer for each character. Pretty much shows how each character can be played (from an on-the-surface point of view).
