i think the fighting game scenes gonna be hurting with the rise of gas prices and economy recession, the new fighters coming to systems with online and improvement of online play (lag will improve over time), new players joining the scene are much younger than the “old” guard of the fighting game community thus don’t have as many freedoms as older people. people are gonna be less inclined to play. as such we should make a league like CEVO for Counterstrike, where users pay money to enter online tournaments or leagues. ha.
