Wisconsin: Breaking Controllers Since The 90s and Probably Before Then...LOL!

There is a tournament online for WHP tonight! You have to get on mIRC on EFNET and join #srksnk to play though

I’m bringing a tv and it will be smash free unless someone gives me a blow job, but then again who wants a BJ from a 10 year old.

Nappy I asked for friday off for acen, mostly because xi and tekken are being run on the same day that day, but i’ll get an all weekend pass if i can get that friday off, and then come saturday and sunday when i’m not working. I’ll hook up with u in the game room friday and see what is going on… as long as I got that day off. Anyway I’ll let you know what is going on.

I Am Ironman!!!

Sounds like a plan. Just wade through the cosplayers to find me, lol.

Josh, you up for some Marvel today, possibly?

I’ve been practicing CvS2 and Garou pretty hard this weekend. I will dominate tonight.

boobs.

bubz.

i haven’t even touched those games since our last gathering. who cares. it’s just refreshing to play something other than 3s.

yeah, yeah flame-trolling 3s>your mom and all that noise. the guys i play with practically refuse to learn a new game, saying they ā€œdon’t have timeā€ to learn a game on the level that they know 3s. which is silly, cuz they clearly have the time to play 3s, right? i guess i simply don’t get it. i think it’s safe to say that most of us, when discovering a new game with a friend, take it home and learn things about the game so we can beat our friends, hopefully encouraging him to do the same. with 3s, it seems like we’re always preparing to beat these people we’ve never met before, that haven no names or faces.

don’t get me wrong, i still enjoy 3s, but when you only play one game with other people for as long as, hell most of us have, you start wishing for something else.

…sorry, i get…reflective…with the morning cup of joe.

Meh, I personally enjoy 3S on a different level than other games I play. I think the fact that the other people you regularly play against aren’t that great hurts your overall experience. Me and Zack played against each other exclusively for a long time, but I loved it because he was good, which made me better in the process. It would definitely be bad/not fun if I was playing against people below my level. Jerry is good, but only plays 1 character well. That would get stale after awhile I suppose.

So… we’re on for tonight after 5pm?

well the high level play does keep it interesting, and i still lose to jerry and adam on a pretty regular basis. i think i’m just really big on aesthetics. i’m just sick of looking at ken master’s stupid face all the time.

really, fighting games aren’t all THAT different from each other, aesthetics and character selection do make a difference. i’ve been playing with the SF cast since i was 8. i love them, but i think it would be beneficial to our relationship if we saw other people for awhile. time apart makes the heart grow fonder?

…i totally just broke up with street fighter?

anyway, yeah call me when your done working.

Everyone needs to take a break once in awhile from the scene. I stopped playing for 8 months because of my horrible Halo 2 addiction, then stopped again recently for a few months due to Magic. But if you really like the scene and the games, you’ll be back. Also, you most likely have hit a plateau, so the urge/desire to get better is diminished. Trust me, we all can improve and get to another next level. We just need to play against people better than us. That will happen if you go out to more tourneys, experience different playstyles, different levels of skill. Tournaments are pivotal in player development.

Tonight though, in honor of laying 3S down to rest, I will rape you in Garou.

EDIT: Also, I totally get where Adam and Jerry are coming from. They aren’t masters by any stretch of the imagination at their ā€œprimaryā€ game, so why would they spend time learning a new game to be mediocre at that? Personally, I’d rather be tops in 1-2 games, then proficient-above average in 4-5 games. I think Jerry and Adam are approaching it from the same perspective.

Super fun matches in Garou yesterday; 4 hours straight of Garou madness was really good. Although I didn’t quite rape, there were times I bet you felt like I slipped you some GHB… Kevin’s jump jab > all.

I’m missing out on Garou action. My Hotaru needs to taste blood. She’s a little thirsty…excuse me…she thirsty.

Yeah, Nick is pretty decent with Terry, and I’m doing okay with Kevin. Garou is mad fun. JD an attack string feels way more satisfying than parrying, even though I can’t Guard Cancel to save my life…

EDIT: Kevin’s jump jab > all. 4LYFE.

You gotta JD a super. That’s the best. I don’t even remember how to GC, lol.
