yo nappy, they’re finally bringing Sakura Taisen to the U.S. after over 10 years. Part 5 is supposed to come out in the Fall. It’s supposed to be a really good RPG, Famitsu gave it a 37/40. Also, it’s gonna be on PS2 and Wii.

Sakura Taisen is awesome, but why are they bringing V as the first game? That is pretty much a gaiden, since the main story ends in IV.
And the storyline in V is kind of goofy… since it takes places in New York (lulz). I, like most people, had too much attachment to the original characters in I - IV. V has the best gameplay and graphics for sure, but I think it’d be kind of weird introduce Sakura Taisen without Teigeki as the first installment for the series in the U.S.
I had fun whooping Dan’s ass last night with turn punches. It was pretty sweet.

BTW I thought Sakura Taisen 1 + 2 were on the Saturn only? Those were the only ones I played. Maybe that’s why they can’t bring them over but who knows… maybe they’ll show up as a ps2 or ps3 version some day.
Sakura Taisen 1 + 2 were also ported for the PC and DC (there might have been a PS1 release but I can’t exactly remember). The Saturn version of Sakura Taisen is considered superior over the DC for better picture and audio quality, although the DC version had some additional elements.
The Sakura Taisen Portable for PSP that was released 3 years ago was basically a port of the Saturn versions. There was also a remake of Sakura Taisen 1 for the PS2.
I personally liked Sakura Taisen 3 the best.
Sakura Taisen IV was a PC only release (and the only one I haven’t played). Not sure why, but that’s just how it was.
There was a Nintendo DS spinoff last year, but I don’t know if that game was any good.

couldn’t crack top 8 at mwc, had a couple bad matchups for me and got peaced. I think if I got over one hurdle I could have done much better but I didn’t have my counter pick ready and stuck with Cammy the whole time. But tomorrow is what I care about. Plus I signed up under Wisconsin as usual.
