Well… despite playing AH2 and KOF2K2 on the side, my main focus this year has been SF2 HD Remix. Out of 9 tournaments I’ve been to so far I’ve either gotten first or second place and there’s a tournament coming up in Iowa that I know I also have a chance to win as long as I don’t totally blow it. I’d also like to get top 5 at MWC and also make the 5v5 HDR Midwest team. I think these are attainable goals as long as I don’t have too many distractions (like SF4) so I haven’t loaded up too many “random fighters” in my free time. Now that I’ve gotten my controller situation back to normal (I had to put my old DPad and Buttons into a new PS1 controller shell, as well as a get a different converter) I’m back to practicing HDR a couple hours a day at least to stay in shape.
Man, Garou is so underrated and underplayed.

I haven’t played GG in a while. It’s awesome. S!AH2 is pretty fucking sweet too, though. x_x
AC+ is the final XX game? Good to know.
How do you feel about AC’s longevity? 3S had quite a long life, and I think a large part of it was because it was the final SFIII game, giving old and new players a game to practice on for a long period of time, without the nagging thought of, “these combos/setups/tactics will be obsolete in 6-8 months due to SFIII: Hyper Ultra Dash Edition”.
I am betting AC is going to get swept under the rug for BlazBlue.
but its Longevity is yet to be seen.
I Hope AC lives for a long time. Long enough for me to own somebody, because I suck at it right now due to lack of practice and comp (hah I live near chicago I’m a douchebag), but I so enjoy playing it…AH seems fun. Doubtful as to whether I’ll want to take it seriously, but definitely a fun distraction. HDR wins. Fuck Tekken.
edit: I just remembered there’s no ultras in guilty gear…so that means it’s dead already, right?

I have class until 2:30 tomorrow and then usually catch a ride home with a friend around 4 (I don’t have a vehicle right now), but I may be able to arrange a different ride and/or skip class – I’ll have to look into it. It’d be great if you could PM me with the contact/location info ASAP, though.
My mouth and cheeks are still swollen up from the " surgery ", so I don’t know how useful I’d be at HuHot. I’ll gladly ride along and suck on a piece of beef or something, though.

Yeah, I’m cool with AH2. I’ve fucked up my tire somehow, though, and I get violent shaking when traveling in excess of 55 mph, which makes the drive to milwaukee QUITE A BITCH. Work schedule is also fluctuating, so I’m stuck practicing hdr online for a bit.
Maybe i can go to WIMPS more often or whatever it is you guys are doing at Paul’s. I take Saturdays off of work during the summer.
We’ll be riding down to Woodfield with Dan tomorrow, Jason. Did you wanna meet up somewhere before hand?
Had a blast at Keits’ yesterday – it was actually my first ever fighting game meet up. o_O
I’m no longer satisfied being an “Xbox Live weekend warrior that’s too amazing for face-to-face competition”, so hopefully all you locals will take advantage of the abudant free time I have as a (slacking) college student. :woot:
