I can give some of the results for SF4 Teams and Kattermari can fill in the rest whenever he gets on. I would first like to say GG’s to everyone who came out to play. It’s always fun traveling to these tournaments and seeing all these good players. I am very proud of how my team did in the 3v3 and look forward to future events.
Shout outs to Frantastic, Dynicksty, Meyhem, Dizzy and all the New Jersey crew that came out to Philly to support FYC. And also shout out to Dieminion for being vocal as well and to Mike Infinite and Eric “SmoothViper” for being chill people as usual.
If anyone wants to see how the tourney was closed out you can view the clip here…

This was taken off the Justin.TV stream which was laggy so the quality is not great. You can also view the entire stream by going to http://www.justin.tv/thegvn#r=XzBnqmU~ and going to the clips section and you will see the tournament broken down into parts.

This was a great tourney as usual. It was my pleasure to attend.
Shoutouts Perfect Sin- I’m glad I got to play you first round. Your Dhalsim is excellent. Hopefully, I’ll step it up so our next set will be better. Hubbs - Can’t believe I had to play you again lol. Good stuff on organizing the tourney and playing as usual. We must play more casuals. Jaguar - Dude, I waited for like an hour for our match because you were playing T6, but it’s all good lol. I like your Boxer and I hope that my advice was helpful. Play more Chun’s man. Dizzy - It sucks that we had to play eachother being fellow Chunners. I saw your team matches and was very impressed. Your hat is godlike. GGs. Steve H - Thank you so much for playing me in a casual set. Your Sagat’s so patient it’s ridiculous. Your matches against Marn in TvC were great. Ryder - Thanks for the Abel practice. Dynicksty - Thanks for the Boxer practice and the advice you gave me during the matches. Eric - Thank you and Hubbs and the other Winter Brawl staff for doing a great job organizing the tournament. Sorry about your car problem. I hope that works out.
I’ll try to make Summer Jam my first SSFIV tourney:bgrin:
The best part was when we were leaving and you were saying goodbye to everyone and that random asian dude shook your hand that wasn’t even there for Winter Brawl
Thanks for posting the UMK3 MKII and KI results, we all had a blast. Some new players really enjoyed their experience and that’s always a plus, brings them back for more!
Ryder: really impressive play, super smart tough Abel. i am looking forward to some casuals or a budget MM next time you come to philly!
Arma & Marlinpie: very well played! Arma that demon chasing the headbutt was something else. Marlinpie, dash in, dash out, dash in, dash out, dash in throw was hilarious. also hitting me with 3 (or 4?) viper overheads in a row
Sanford: congrats on the win! Sagat is a beast, so tough to stop.
Andre: ggs, again you were definitely due for that win. i need to rethink that whole matchup.
Chaos: 2nd place, too powerful
Marn & Joe: good teaming with you guys, sorry that I kinda lost the will to fight by the end of that marathon grand finals
Eric: great tournament as always! still love the venue, if i could change one thing it would be $7 parking
If I wasn’t ready for Super before, the wall of Sagat I played in the singles definitely did it.
NEC had that wow factor, where I was just knocked off my feat with the whole experience, but this? This event was just wicked. Flat out awesome. Ryder’s ill skills. Melty Blood hype. TvC now has its time to shine, good shit. The communities are just amazing.
Props to Big E. Your work and ability to make these things run cleanly is amazing. Mad props to all the other green shirts too (HuBBs, Kattermari, Comeback, Big E’s family), definitely more then last time, and I ain’t talking about when they were available for sale. Ya’ll do high quality jobs, even when you have to yell for a entire day straight.
F me for no Garou. I failed myself with that this weekend. Imma do it big next time.
-Jeremy
The brackets were left next to the laptop Hubbs. I really hope they don’t end up missing.
Now I also have a new level of respect for those who run majors. Getting both singles and teams of SF4 done in one day was really stressful and made my throat all messed up. Thank you guys for bearing with me as this is my first time running brackets for a major. I feel like I did a solid job though so all is well.
I have a few complaints and I usually keep them to myself but im not this time around see what people have to say.
I had double jeopardy happen to me and i tied for what 17th ? not even top 8 (sadly). I did want to play him(ryder)agian but i also got counterpicked goodshit though i like seeing new talent but thats not suppose to happen. Also me and rob were not seeded after placing well the last tourny but who cares we only drove 51/2 hours to disqualify each other(rob lost to lucky d, i had to take out CP who was on my team and were the only 4 from NE), it really makes me wonder if I wanna come to another tourny here. I dont see the empire playing each other early in these tournaments and they shouldnt. I did have fun and I have alot of respect for Eric but its lame for this to happen. I actually had to beg for them to enter me in a2 and a3 even though they werent even done with the first round. I had to look at the bracket and prove that they could fit me in. I just think after going to these tournys for a long time and getting fucked here and there its time to say something about it.
