People spend so much time freaking out and crying about how humanity is in the shit because some dingbat shot up a movie theater. They never think about the fact that we have incredible thinkers and incredible engineers who are constantly working on solutions to our problems that boggle the imagination. Ignore what the politicians, cable news assholes, and Internet trolls are saying we’re doing for a minute, grab an issue of Popular Mechanics, Scientific American, or whatever, and find out what we’re actually doing.

i’m primarily concerned with overpopulation. we all know what happens when resources begin to dwindle. good people begin to compromise on their values, and bad people are given a platform to exercise their values. we don’t need 7 billion (and growing) humans.
since we’re talking about these problems, i’d like to hear everyone’s solutions to them. its not enough to recognize a problem…solutions to them have to be conjured up.

Quite a few other people “ruined” that concept too. Most folks drawn towards those ideas were more or less the same, just different flavors of ice cream but still ice cream nonetheless.

Because when the 1% dies, then the top 1% of the remaining 99% become the new 1%. Basic math. There’s always gonna be people who are doing well in life and people who are not. The question is, can we create an environment where everyone has an equal opportunity at upward mobility given that they work hard enough? In other words, a meritocracy. People who get drunk all day and wack off to porn should never be allowed to be successful.

We have to bring about a drastic change in a rather large chunk of the populace, before such equality and peace can occur.
A few already desire such peace and equality.
No few some can be trained.
The rest needs be constrained by laws.
Preferrably only until such a time as their rapaciousness is bred out of the human gene pool.
Until then, we who desire equality and peace must fight against the oppressive nature of those who would raise themselves to such a position [as the 1%].
Never forget for a second that the main reason that the 1% are permitted their abusive selfish power, is due to the very large chunk of the 99% who would raise themselves to such a position, were they able to.
The portion of the 99% who are the Betas of the 1% are every bit as much the problem as the 1% is.
