Will Smith - Hancock the Superhobo!

My thoughts exactly.

Yes i included that movie. Problem?

It sucked.

Yeah okay:rolleyes:

Like i said 8 bucks is better spent on Hellboy 2.

I saw this and wanted this weekend… I thought Hancock was much better. I almost walked out on wanted. It was soooo bad I couldnt stand it.

I don’t really want to derail the thread, but the story in Incredible Hulk falls apart badly in Act 3 as they do a lot of things that don’t make sense or go against the ordinary personalities of the characters, and it all seems like it was done just to rush to the last fight sequence as fast as possible.

Hancock #2

Spoiler

And it turns out, they’re really angels!

Cool cool.

And the man/child pictures?

I believe that was threefold:
A) to show that he was maturing through his connection with the PR guy’s son
B) to show how long he had been in that cell
C) it looked very similar to Mayan artwork, and was drawing a connection to another ancient culture’s mythos

Lol Mike Epps in Hancock.

So, all in all, I was surprised by the film and thought it was pretty good. Random, but good.

wow you lot suck for not liking this film, and if you watched french/foreign films this film wouldnt of been random at all, maybe surprising but thats good

i feel sorry for will smith :shake: underrated

i liked this movie

You must watch some terrible foreign movies.

At least when a good movie is random (it feels like) it has a coherent plot. This movie was just like a bunch of different movies thrown into one, fighting to the death, then the winner got shot anyway.

Surprises are not always good, btw. I’d be surprised to find all the walls in my house covered in shit, but I won’t be happy.

A bump with some interesting info about this movie that started awesome and went to shit:

that script sounds horrible, hancock was a pretty good movie imo.

It WAS until they stopped all of Hancock’s good character development and pulled the whole angels from heaven bullshit or whatever it was they used to justify the last half of the movie.

eh, what explanation for a superman-type being would you propose that wouldn’t be equally as ridiculous?

Was there a need for an explanation at all? Up until the angels bullshit, that wasn’t what the movie was about.

Precisely. It was about a Superman-esque superhero in the real world. Like Children of Men, the premise of the story didn’t need to be explained; the premise set up the rest of the story, which is to tell the story of this fucked-up hero. And that was just… dropped, in favor of a complete 180 shift in direction.

speaking of children of men…how is that movie.
