Yeah I picked up MH3 today too not going too hardcore on it since I’m busy playing Super. I just hope I don’t become a burden on people that play it hardcore since the online thing seems great.

I just recently picked up my copy but I haven’t put it in yet. Hopefully I’ll get some time with it tonight…man the CCP is seexxxxyyyyy. I like how everything feels on this. The only thing it’s missing is rumble.
I just played MHT for 5 straight hours and havent touched online. This game has me again.
I played for 4 hours it is the shizz. how do you even go online with the game. im not even sure?
that’s why I’m not gonna get it until after I finish classes in a few weeks. lol I’m too close to fuck up graduation now

you can pick whatever you want to use, I mainly use Hammers myself. The weapons are very balance so it boils down to personal preference.
For those old monster hunter folks who want to read some changes to monster hunter tri here is what I’ve seen thus far
You can freely go in and out of town to a map, there is no gathering missions.
Because there is no gathering missions, the farm has been changed. No longer can you go to farm, routinely get some materials of different variety, ala Monster hunter freedom unite. It is now a mini factory. So for example. you need more Flashbugs to make flashbombs. Depending on the rank of your production, you can get 5 or more after every hunt.
More Emphasis on Capturing monsters now, There are capturing missions.
Going off MHFU, The pokke point system(not official name, using it as reference), which use to be collecting rare stuff, has been made easier with the addition of killing monsters. So not only do you get points collection rare stuff from mushrooms, ore deposits, weeds, etc. You also get points for killing monsters and occasional bosses when your free hunting.

I’ve put a good chunk of time into MH3 offline and I still feel like I don’t know quite what I’m doing. I’m still using basic stuff and I’m having trouble organizing my inventory. I’m enjoying the game so far though but I think I may need some tips what I should do…otherwise I’m just going to be mindlessly killing everything I see lol.
Mh3 online has like no lag. How can this game be any better?!
Monster Hunter Tri is dope! I want to make an extremely long, annoyingly Capcom fanboyish and possibly boring post about it but I am extremely short on time today. If I don’t get around to it today then I’ll do it tomorrow.

If you’ve never read the manga before there’s a scanlation of it. It was done by one of the assistants on One Piece so it’s kind of like One Piece + Monster Hunter. Pretty cool read though! :tup:

you can be identified by your Name and your ID. Your ID is actually seen when you pick which character you want to be before you get online. I’m still playing online now and updated the post earlier with my ID as well so if you guys want to add me by sending me a message please do so. I’m assuming this is how capcom will allow people to have the same name. It also helps when you’re searching for people.
Now if you’ll excuse me…I have some mushrooms to collect.
Sounds like a lot of you guys got the game and are enjoying it. Awesome. Hopefully the network stays lag free as more and more people start getting online and hopefully this game sells as well as Capcom would like. Can’t cop MH3 just yet because I don’t have the time to dedicate to it.

Monster Hunter Tri is so damn amazing. I’ve been playing all day, literally. Going through offline so I can get my effing Long Sword, almost to unlocking it.
