hey Huckles98, I’m an A1C at Sheppard (permanent party, not student) stationed here for…god knows how long -__- I’m live right off base - I got another A1C (also permanent party) who’s really into fighters (his last job was actually at Mad Catz, went to Evo last year).
I have a ton of fighters - been playing them for a long time, built my first stick about 8 years ago. SF2 Turbo, SSF2T, SSF2T HD Remix, MVC2, Third Strike, MK2, UMK3, and MK9 are what I mostly play. I’ll PM you - I’m also looking for any kind of scene here.
Yeah so I made my post before I came here and it turns out AETC steps the prof/unprof relationship up quite a bit. In a nutshell if you’re a student don’t message me. Sorry, but I gotta play by uncle sams rules.

Hate to break this to you Huckles - but the scene for just about anything here is dead. Gaming scene is dead at SAFB, especially since it’s infested with AITS towards almost ANYTHING gaming. I hate this base -_- can’t wait to go back to McChord.
What’s going on thread? I live in Iowa Park and attend over at Vernon College in Wichita Falls. I’m a huge fighting games fan, and have been unable to make much progress recently for the lack of an FGC in fallstown. I mostly play umvc3 like a maniac (mags/verg/doom) and consider myself to be pretty damn good, but I enjoy playing with most of the cast, and like having a break from playing with my main team.
As far as other fighters go, I’m fairly green. I am sub-par at SF, but with competition for motivation I’d gladly play more. I havn’t even touched KOF, but if there are enough people that play it near WF I’d pick it up.
In general, I’m just looking for a good fight… hit me up on the forums or via PM. Hope there are a few gamers somewhere in fallstown!
I’d probably get bodied in SF, but I would play. What characters do you main in SF? I’ll start putting some time in, seems like that’s the main fighter that gets played in small towns.
Also curious if you know any other people that play fighters? I know one guy that I spar with (we mostly play marvel bc he bodies me in SF for my lack of experience), but we rarely get to play. Would love to find some marvel players, but I’m down for some SF. In general, I’m just trying to expand my metagame and footsies, though I lack the knowledge in SF to respond appropriately in most cases… though that should come with a little practice.
Probably should ask what system you play on as well. My stick is for ps3, and is what I would prefer to use, though I have a stick for xbox I can borrow from a friend. Main reason I would prefer to use my stick is because his is worn out around the corners and has a loose head (he tortured that stick…)
Edit: I just texted TxZero about some marvel matches, and it looks like he’s down. Waiting on a response, but with any luck we should be able to play this weekend. My parents are going to be out of town some, so we can play here, or I’m willing to play wherever. I’m sure we can definitely get some SF matches in as well, and if someone wants to bring their console I can move my big screen to the living room and we can have two setups going if need be. Kinda giddy with excitement at the moment, haha.
Band practices Friday night, Christmas tree lighting with the kids on Saturday and work Sunday morning from 12am to 8 am so not sure if I would be able to make anything. Keep me in the loop though
Played a few marvel sets with TxZero and his friends earlier, had some really good games! I should record em the next time we have a chance to play, if there are any other gamers in wichita falls hit me up!!
I’m throwing a LANparty at the Holiday Inn by the Lucy Park waterfalls in the Kemp meeting room on Saturday February 2nd. Event starts from 10am and ends at midnight. It is primarly a PC lanparty but we MORE than welcome console players, especially fighting game fanatics. We have some ThirdStrike players, Tekken players & SFIV players.
