Why You Mad Bro!?

Watch the replay with inputs showing. It’s really obvious whether they’re using turbo or not. There’s a massive difference between people who just mash shit out and people who use turbo input-wise.

And it’s definitely not just Honda/Blanka:

Whoa,

That totally changed my perception on playing online. I don’t know whether to play with turbo online to keep up or to give up ranked all together…

I still think that the better player will always prevail though.

Anyhoo, relax, dude. It’s just a game. THe more calm I am, the better my execution. Outside influences (work, beer, the wife, the baby, lack of sleep) also cause my lapses in execution. On the rare occasion that I don’t have any of these, I play much, much better

This actually wants to make me go back and view some of my recent matches to see if people are using turbo or not. It’s a shame that so many of these people actually consider themselves good players while using turbo.

It’s a tad sickening, to be honest…:shake:

@sektr
Wahh, thats horrifying. I’ll also start watching my replays. At times I’ve been wondering how the hell ppl have managed landing things so
consistently when they otherwise sucked and this could be the reason. But what stops these ppl from playing endless?

Absolutely nothing other than the fact that regardless of turbo it’s still pretty easy to zone out turbo players because all they do is run at you generally. I’m sure there are some turbo players in Endless but it seems like most of them use turbo to get their rank up and so stick to ranked.

I just overall notice a MUCH higher skill level in endless, with people actually utilizing zoning and footsies rather than yelling “CHHHAAARRRGEEEE!” and jumping in constantly.

I like you! Glad you’ve learned not to take this game so seriously. Why can’t more people have this type of attitude playing SF?

Ok, so I’ve been playing a bit more at home. Went to Arcade Infinity last night and it was packed with people on the SSF4 cabinets. It’s kind of intimidating. Lol. So I mainly just played BlazBlue. =\

But what I’ve come to realize is that my play style is very in-your-face with a bit of control options. If that makes any sense. I’ve been messing around with Akuma, but he seems to die wayyyy too fast for me (although I love air fireballs). I know that Ryu is supposed to be my starting point, but he seems a bit too slow at some points when I really want to keep the heat going. Just personal preference I think. Any suggestions would rock though.

Oh so you become a douche bag to other people in the noob forum?

honestly i wish i could meet a high ranked turbo user in real life. not to hurt them or anything, but to sit down and just try to understand how their head works. I mean, you’re putting hours into a competitive game, and for nothing. it’s like hacking in a competitve game of Starcraft or Counter-Strike.

i could never cheat, not even when i was like 8 years old and my bro downloaded hacks for Starcraft – it just ruins everything, for both players.

meh, it’s turbo. it’s there to be used. play to win or go home.

i don’t use turbo (mostly cause i have no idea how it works) but i can see why others would. its banned in tournaments anyways so it’s not like those guys are going anywhere playing like that. let them have their cheap thrills online and move on.

Check this guy out. He’ll blow your mind.

Ranked can be quite stressful especially if you’re more worried about your points going down from losing. esp when you rage quit, send hate mail, letting your loss become a bad day for you etc… etc… that’s where its not a game anymore because you’re taking things too personal in that kind of attitude…

I sometimes can control my anger, but if it’s the lag that makes me lose the match big time (or I think it is), I get a little mad. If it continues, I flip out. As many said, I get a lot worse when I’m mad. I turn off my console or switch to another game so I can get my cool back. I don’t play SF for a while after I get mad.

get gud

i remember when i was a pathetic scrub like u, some people just got it and some dont (you)

eye of the tiger

Hey snake eyes, sweet advice, I just stopped going psycho when i lose. I only went hulk when my opponent was crap and only new how to do HP Shoruyuken, if my opponent was really good and beat me good i enjoyed it and weirdly like to seek that out as it fascinates me how some people can be so good at the game. Ive never rage quit and think if you do you can never really hope to play the game competively, the main example of this is Daigo who is emotionless when he plays, even when he wins his just blank faced the man is a machine, that kind of composer can not be learnt or taught you have it or you dont.

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.
