Contrary to popular belief BH and Sim were dominating where I was playing at. Some hella tight Bisons too. People don’t give this game a chance because it’s not seizure-ville like the other versus games, but it’s actually one of the most balanced versus games as well. It plays more like a methodical Street Fighter than balls out versus game.

the game is not tha bad i was playing for like 4 hours straigh with a buddy of mine, since we never gave this game a chance and i must say that its not that bad for casual matches:wink:

Games like KOF and SVC are easy to bootleg, which is probably why it’s popular? Just a guess. Mexicans just love Neo Geo games for some reason, I will never understand why but I’ve learned to come to terms with it. 
Cus I didn’t wanna spend a lot of time in the arcades when I had limited time with my GF…next time though.

Some mexican guy told me that, in high levels, they think KoF 2k2 and 98 are the only good ones. He saids that 2k3 and Neowave are like CFJ to them. Nobody gives a damn about those games. He also told me that mosty developing countries think in the same way, and KoF forums are filled with 2k2 in the same way that srk is filed with Marvel…

Not yet, I have to work until June 2007 before I can pay for four years of tuition at Ateneo, housing, food etc, then I will sell my car and hop over. Have to take my SATs in October but that shouldn’t be a big deal. I am 21 but never took them cus I thought I was gonna go into the army, but I didn’t.
Anyways, thanks for the offer, if I remember I’ll contact you when I am in the PI again. Sucked I couldn’t find anyone to play oldskool KOF, Super Turbo or SFA3 with in the PI…but by then I will probably have learned some new games, they are trying to get me to play KOF XI here, so I’ll grudgingly learn (nothing is better than 98 or 2k2 though IMO).

as for SVC - i think arcade OP’s though it would be the next CVS, so, all the major franchises (even Timezone) went and bought one… it’s not that WE love it… but it’s presumably the ONLY thing we see around here…
the fucked up thing is, there is only ONE SINGLE VF4-FT cab in manila… and HUNDREDS of T5/5.1/DR cabs… that’s just not right.

Are there any foreigners who are arcade regulars? I kinda always noticed foreigners at the malls and stuff but I didn’t see any gamers. Just uh…mormons (BTW, the only Americans in the Philippines who acknowleged me, fuck Americans in the Philippines! Except the mormons.)

KOF 2002 and Alpha(Zero)3 cabs are everywhere in PI? Then I’d like to be on the next flight there…I love those games. I’ve never played SvC before, but I’d be more than willing to try it out. Same with KOFXI. And as for that one single VF4 cabinet? I’ll be on it every chance I get. I fucking love VF4. One of these days, when I go on a world tour, I’ll definitely stop by PI.
