Wow, just…wow. I was under the impression that SF was a pretty manly game myself and thought that any homo-erotic behavior would come from GG or MB at least.

I used to be a really dedicated Marvel player before playing 3s.
I still play marvel (less seriously).
Im strict MSP now, so I dont play any other team, therefore it doesnt take much of my time to practice combos (I consider MSP to be team scrub #2).
I also play CvS2, I think Im gettin good at it.
Anyway, my point is.
These 3 games have been the top 3 fighters from USA for a long time.
I do know lots of people started on 3s because of Daigo, but I dont think it was because they wanna be Daigo wannabes.
The thing is that Daigos video is a clear example of how the game is not only turtle and boring, it can get pretty exiting.
I used to be mad at the old denjinvideo.com cause I wanted to get more and more Marvel videos back then and all I would find would be a bunch of 3s footage, I would download some and be all upset since the game seemed extremly slow (used to be playing marvel and shit).
The video that got me started on it was KSK Vs Ricky Ortiz on EVO 2K3, that video got me interested in how the game can be way deeper (and faster).
Ive been watching CvS2, Marvel And 3s videos since 2002.
I know the 3 games pretty well, and the thing that makes 3s my favorite is that its game where some rounds are not entirely lost unlike marvel or CvS2 on some ocassions.
It is also a game that yes , like a lot of people say is not too much a combowise game, therefore each match you gotta keep getting smarter and smarter.
At a certain point, in games like marvel and CvS2, you gotta master your execution or you’re dead.

everybody’s acting like parry is the easiest thing in the world. just like any other move it requires timing. also you have to guess if they’re going to hit you high or low. maybe if the timing was a little more strict people wouldn’t complain so much
