“[…] wants to play Barbie Horse Adventure” funniest neg rep title ever.
CC would make this game a lot more fun at least. SFIV is so damn boring I’d give anything to spice it up.
First 3 posts got it right.
Alpha 3 is probably my least favorite SF game ever, and I feel Alpha 2 would have been much better without custom combos. That’s just my opinion. I just don’t think they have a place in the main SF series. I don’t think most people play Street Fighter for the giant combo madness. Those tastes are better served in other series.
Perhaps bringing back Yun or just doing a Genei-Jin esque character for 4’ will satisfy those into custom combos. That’s something I think even alpha haters can live with.

Maybe you will stop getting negged.
When you stop bolding all everything you fucking say. **
Cause it’s not annoying or anything
**
Why would I wanna stop getting negged?
This shit is funny.
And you should stop letting someone on the internets typing in bold get to you so much.
It might not be healthy…**
Also really because i dont think thats the kind of game SF4 is. sF 4 was “suppose” to be a throwback to old school and somewhat simple fighting days. That would be like asking for a tag or wall bounce system
Lol at tag teams in SF4
this
Street Fighter EX2 proves that with the “kill the character in 1 combo” garbage.
Ouch.
while excels in EX2 are fun to look at, in the end they do require lots of execution and the likely hood of performing that long ass combo in the finals of a tournament aren’t that good, they have the potiental to be worse than anything else (except block damage, ARIKA got that right with their excels unlike CvS2…), plus in the end all CC end up being the same. The exact same button sequence, the same move sequence, for a system that allows you to cancel anything into anything people always stick with one.
Keep CC’s out of SF4 and leave it in the dead games.
No, it’s the K-Groove meter. Still good, but no CCs.
Seiei Enbu can be considered a custom combo and that was FAR from broken.
3s Yang SA3 for those who don’t know.
And to add on to that there are many different uses of it, not a single braindead string that everyone uses.
So do I turn red?
As a character specific sure. Now take a look at games that have a universal CC system. A2, A3, CvS2, even EX2 amd EX2+, they all devolve into the exact same string. Maybe the set up to get them into the main string maybe different but they all end the same.
Painfully obvious troll has become painfully obvious.
You have a whole char to find your own custom combos with already, just stop doing the same things you see on videos and create your own.
you dont need no shining bar next to you for that
the “custom” part on CC doesnt mean shit, after 6 months, it becomes “that combo” cause everybody uses the same
**Why does everybody call me a troll?
I just state my opinion and people get way to worked up over it.
Some of you folks are seeeeeeeesitive.**
every game that has custom combos makes every alternative irrelevant. they aren’t really custom either. its really a specific combo that everyone uses.
Yeah, all new and casual SF fans can clearly see how easy activation, invincibility frames, and safe on miss/block can break apart the fundamentals of Street Fighter. …Huh?
Most people just know CC’s are lame because someone told them so, or they got linked to an A-Akuma vid and thought “Wow! That’s kinda dumb!” But I doubt many casual players really know the finer details of what makes CC’s so good in SF games.
I give the OP credit for at least asking the question, rather than regurgitating info he knows nothing about, or choosing to remain ignorant. For years we had no new fighting games and our community was getting stale, then SFIV comes along and brings in all the new blood we wanted, and we say thank you by calling them stupid?
If you don’t want to be bothered to answer the question, at least 500 people browse the SFIV forums daily, there’s a good chance that one of them will. But not everyone here is a tournament-level pro player and its silly of us to expect that from them.
