Hugo is the one worth taunting at every knockdown because he gets up so slow. Plus he has some decent wakeups, but not as bothersome as the shotos.
And you actually use SA3 Chun? No offense. I just stick with SA2 for the massive damage and the amount of links and super cancels it has.
I like to use Urien’s taunt after a successful Aegis Juggle and finishing it with s. Fierce. Just cause it’s like the ultimate " Screw You!" statement.
I generally only use functional taunts, or after a match if I can’t get the extra hits in (chun on a lot of wins). Best moment was in a youtube video where TWICE Ken’s SA3 got stuffed by basketballs, one of those times killing him. Meaty basketball > wakeup SA3.
uhh cause Chun-li yawns when she does her taunt. Bad enough she has a long ass taunt animation and then she just yawns over your abused body. (She has 3 random taunts)
it really isn’t as useful as you think it is. and yes, a lot people are unaware that some characters personal action has a useful benefit, so they think it’s just an insult.
Remy’s taunt can’t be used in an actual fight. If you actually have enough time to perform Remy’s taunt without getting hit…your opponent should be forced to play Twelve for the next 10 matches.
I don’t taunt often when I play Ken. Usually I only taunt with Dudley and Twelve. Though if the other person starts taunting like crazy, then I do it too.
Ken should only taunt when it is ideal to gain the bonus eg: after shippu (or certain srks against Chun).
However when you have no bar it usually makes more sense to wiff 3-4 cr mp for the meter while the opponent’s knocked down which still leaves you in prime offensive positioning.
for instance I definately wouldn’t taunt if was just a few wiffs away from “teh sW33t sP0t” where a blocked cr mk shippu wont super but a hit cr mk shippu will. It’s just so nice to walk back from your opponent while they are getting up only to hit them on wake up with a max range cr mk super that you don’t have to worry about hit confirming.
